	İzmir Atatürk Volleyball Hall İzmir Atatürk Volleyball Hall () is a volleyball venue located in the district of Alsancak in İzmir, Turkey. After serving as the indoor sport hall for competitions of basketball, volleyball and handball for 40 years, it has been rebuilt to serve as the volleyball hall of the city and has a capacity of 6,000 people. Along with other local teams, İzmir's volleyball powerhouse Arkas plays its matches in this hall. International events hosted İzmir Atatürk Volleyball Hall hosted basketball games of the Universiade 2005, which was held between August 11 and 21 2005 in İzmir. 	Arkas Spor Arkas Spor is a professional volleyball team based in İzmir, Turkey. It plays in the Turkish Men's Volleyball League and in the CEV Champions League. The Körfez Sports Club began competing in the 2nd volleyball league in the 1999-00 season. In 2001 it became the Saint Joseph Sports Club and in 2003 it was renamed Arkas Saint Joseph. The club's name was changed to Arkas Sports Club at the Board of Directors meeting in May 2005. The club's primary sports branch is volleyball, but it is also active in sailing and bridge. 	2013 FIVB Men's Junior World Championship The 2013 FIVB Volleyball Men's U21 World Championship was held in Turkey for ten days, from 22 August to 1 September 2013. This was the first edition of the tournament that features 20 teams. Competition formula The 20 teams will be divided into four pools of five teams each and will play a round-robin tournament. The bottom-ranked team of each pool will play classification matches for 17th-20th place in a round-robin system. The other 16 teams progress to the Eight Finals which consists of a playoff (1st of Pool A against 4th of Pool B etc.).
