	Troy (game) ''Troy'' is a board wargame published by Chaosium in 1977 that simulates various sieges of Troy through the ages. Background Troy was founded around 3600 BCE. Over the next 4000 years, Troy was repeatedly attacked, destroyed and rebuilt, leaving a tell with at least nine archaeological layers. One of these was supposedly the Greek siege described in Homer's ''Iliad'', although the exact relationship between myth and reality remains unclear and there is no definitive evidence for a Greek attack on the city. Description ''Troy'' is a 2-player board wargame in which one player defends the city of Troy, and the other player controls the forces besieging the city. Components A 35" x 23" hex grid map displays the plain at the foot of the hill bearing the city of Troy, using a scale of per hex. 	Nomad Gods ''Nomad Gods'' is a fantasy wargame designed by Greg Stafford, and published by Chaosium in 1977. A French-language edition was published by Oriflam under license from Chaosium under the name ''Les Dieux Nomades'' in 1994. A free version for online play without the rulebook was released for the Vassal Engine in 2012. Chaosium republished the rulebook in PDF format in 2017. History It is the second part of the ''Dragon Pass'' trilogy that began with '' White Bear and Red Moon''. Although some counters for the planned third game were included with ''Nomad Gods'', the third game of the trilogy was never published. Rules updates and additions were published in Wyrm's Footnotes. The 1977 game comes with a 22" x 26" hex map, 252 counters, and a profusely illustrated 72-page rulebook. In 1994 the game was revised and released as ''Les Dieux Nomades'' in French release by Oriflam. This adapted the original game to an updated version of the Dragon Pass rules. 	Jon Freeman (game Designer) Jon Freeman is a game designer and co-founder of software developer Automated Simulations, which was later renamed to Epyx and became a major company during the 8-bit era of home computing. He is married to game programmer Anne Westfall, and they work together as Free Fall Associates. Free Fall is best known for '' Archon: The Light and the Dark'', one of the earliest titles from Electronic Arts. Career Automated Simulations and Epyx Freeman worked as a game designer for video game developer and publisher, Epyx, which he co-founded with Jim Connelley in 1978 as Automated Simulations. Their first game, '' Starfleet Orion'', was a two-player only game developed mainly so Connelley could write off the cost of his Commodore PET computer. 	Perfidious Albion (magazine) ''Perfidious Albion'' was a British board game and wargame magazine, published and edited by Charles Vasey and Geoff Barnard. History In the early 1970s, Charles Vasey, a chartered accountant and wargames hobbyist, began to write reviews of the games that he played for small games magazines such as ''Military Modelling'' and ''Strategy & Tactics''. Vasey and his acquaintance Geoff Barnard, came to believe that other reviews being published at the time were either too deferential to the major game publishers such as SPI, or were written for game designers and publishers, not for the consumers who were buying the games. 	Conflict Games John Evans Hill (February 21, 1945 – January 12, 2015) was an American designer of military board wargames, as well as rules for miniature wargaming. He is best known as the designer of the Avalon Hill board game ''Squad Leader'' and the American Civil War miniatures game ''Johnny Reb''. He was inducted into the Charles Roberts Awards Hall of Fame. Early life John Evans Hill never knew his biological father, John T. Hill, who was killed in action during World War II while his mother Marian Jane Hill was pregnant. John Evans Hill was born on February 21, 1945, in Chicago and grew up in Elmhurst, Illinois. When Hill was three years old, his mother married Edward F. Whitley, who became the man Hill identified as his father.
