''Trophy Bass'' is a 1995 fishing video game developed by Dynamix and published by Sierra On-Line. It is the first game in the ''Trophy Bass'' franchise. Reception Combined sales of the game and its sequel, ''Trophy Bass 2'', surpassed 500,000 units by November 1997. In the United States, ''Trophy Bass'' was the 10th best-selling computer game of 1997, with 356,280 units sold. The following year, it fell to 21st place, selling an additional 231,901 copies. Its revenue in 1998 alone was estimated at $2.42 million. The first two ''Trophy Bass'' games together topped 1.5 million units in sales by July 1999. Ned Gaskins of '' PC Gamer US'' summarized it as "a great simulation, and a hell of a lot of fun." Dynamix
Dynamix, Inc. was an American developer of video games from 1984 to 2001, best known for the flight simulator ''Red Baron'', the puzzle game '' The Incredible Machine'', the ''Front Page Sports'' series, ''Betrayal at Krondor,'' and the online multiplayer game ''Tribes''. History The company was founded in Eugene, Oregon in 1984 by Jeff Tunnell and Damon Slye. Their first title, '' Stellar 7'', was released before company founding and was later remade with the Dynamix name on it. They made a number of games for the Commodore 64, among them Project Firestart, which was one of the most atmospheric titles for the C64. In the following years, Dynamix created a line of action games for Penguin Software and Electronic Arts, including one of the first games for the Commodore Amiga, ''Arcticfox''. NBA Live 95
''NBA Live 95'' is the follow-up to '' NBA Showdown'' and the first ''NBA Live'' title in the ''NBA Live'' video games series from EA Sports. It was published by EA Sports and released in October 1994. The cover features an action shot from the 1994 NBA Finals. It introduced what would become standard elements in the series, including the isometric on-court perspective, the "T-meter" for shooting free throws, and the turbo button used to give players a temporary burst of speed. The game's engine is a modified version of EA Sports' ''FIFA International Soccer'' engine, using the same perspective. The game was re-released with ''NBA Live 06'' as part of the EA Retro Series. Fishing Video Games
A fishing video game is a video game genre in which the player fishes. Usually they take the form of fishing tournaments. Many feature a wide variety of locations in which to fish, fish to catch, and fishing paraphernalia such as fishing rods, lures, and boats. Gameplay usually revolves around reacting quickly to an on-screen trigger that the bait was taken, along with some sort of button press sequence to reel the fish in. Though not as prolific as other video games genres, fishing video games have historically been popular.
