Trine!
''Trine!'' is a Norwegian black-and-white drama film from 1952 directed by Toralf Sandø. Eva Røine starred in the title role. The film was based on Hans Geelmuyden's novel ''Trine!'', and Geelmuyden wrote the script for the film together with Sandø. Plot Per Gjerpen works as a salesman and accountant. One day he sees Trine while he is out on a sales tour. He buys her two lottery tickets. This is the beginning of a contact that later deepens into a love affair. The couple discovers that they have won a house in the lottery, but it later turns out not to be true. The numbers were read incorrectly. Instead, they are able to use a house owned by Aunt Andrea. Trine goes to visit Andrea, who is ill, and Per grows lonely in the house. Then complications begin. Margit Brataas (née Karlsen, December 28, 1903 – December 17, 1971) was a Norwegian actress. Brataas was born in Kristiania (now Oslo), the daughter of Svend Marus Karlsen (1882–?) and Hilma Mathilde Karlsen (1877–?). She made her film debut in 1942 in Toralf Sandø's film ''Det æ'kke te å tru'', followed by ''Vi gifter oss'' (1951), ''Trine!'' (1952), and ''Balladen om mestertyven Ole Høiland'' (1970). Liv Uchermann Selmer
Liv Uchermann Selmer (January 7, 1893 – January 24, 1983) was a Norwegian actress. Selmer was born in Kristiania (now Oslo), the daughter of Karl Kristian Uchermann (1855–1940) and Bolette Hermana Schnitler (1864–1939). She married the actor Alfred Gjems Selmer (1893–1919). She debuted at the National Theatre in Oslo in 1913 as the wicked fairy Mørkøie in the Norwegian translation of Zachris Topelius's play ''Sleeping Beauty'' ( fi, Prinsessa Ruusunen). For the first 15 years of her career, she was engaged with various theaters in Oslo, Bergen, Trondheim, and Stavanger, and she was emplyed by the Oslo New Theater from 1929 to 1963. Harald Aimarsen (June 9, 1881 – January 5, 1966) was a Norwegian actor. Aimarsen was born in Kristiania (now Oslo), Norway. Among other venues, he worked at the Oslo New Theater. Ulf Selmer
Ulf Selmer (December 10, 1885 – September 24, 1961) was a Norwegian actor and painter. Selmer was the son of the actor Jens Selmer (1845–1928) at the Christiania Theater and his wife, the actress Eleonora Josephine Nielsen (1850–1930), whose stage name was Leonora Selmer. Selmer debuted at the Central Theater in 1904; he was in the National Tour () traveling ensemble of Ludovica Levy (1856–1922) for one year before he was at the Fahlstrøm Theater for one year. In 1911 he moved to the newly opened Trondheim National Theater, where he remained until 1918. Sigurd Magnussøn
Sigurd Konrad Magnussøn (December 14, 1889 – November 12, 1961) was a Norwegian theater director and actor. On August 14, 1912 he married the actress Abigael Heber. Magnussøn was a student at the Fahlstrøm Theater from 1906 to 1907. From 1908 to 1911 and from 1912 to 1920 he was an actor at the National Theater in Oslo. Then he was at the National Theater in Bergen from 1921 to 1922. Alf Malland
Alf Malland (24 January 1917 – 16 August 1997) was a Norwegian actor. Biography He was born in Bergen, Norway. He began his acting career as a student at the Det Norske Teatret in Oslo. Following the German occupation of Norway during World War II, he quit as a theater student and participated in the resistance. Malland first went to Sweden and in 1942 he left for Great Britain where he trained as a paratrooper. He arrived at Finnmark in November 1944 as company commander with the Norwegian forces. Per Gunnar Jonson
Per Gunnar Jonson (11 April 1910 – 16 October 1975) was a Norwegian cinematographer and ski jumper. Cinematography Jonson shot a short film about skiing in Karpathos, which impressed German director Leni Riefenstahl, and she hired him as an assistant director for the 1936 Winter Olympics in Garmisch-Partenkirchen. He primarily worked as a cinematographer on Norwegian films, in addition to occasionally working as a director and producer. At the end of his career he established his own film production company. Ski jumping In 1934, Per Jonson participated in an international competition at the Bloudek Giant in Planica, making a jump meters long. Eva Røine
Eva Røine (born December 11, 1928) is a Norwegian psychologist and author. Røine was born in Mysen, the daughter of the dentist Thorbjørn Sverre Røine (1896–1962) and Sigrid Bergliot Lund (1894–1962). In her younger years she worked as an actress and journalist, and she was the first Miss Norway, participating in the Miss World competition in the United States in 1952. She studied theater for two years in London and was then employed at the People's Theater in Oslo, where she performed from its opening in 1952 to 1955. From 1955 to 1959 she worked as a journalist for the newspaper ''Dagbladet''. She was the press secretary at the National Theater in Oslo from 1963 to 1968.
