Triangle Publications Inc. was an American media group based first in Philadelphia, and later in Radnor, Pennsylvania. It was a privately held corporation, with the majority of its stock owned by Walter Annenberg and his sisters. Its holdings consisted of newspapers, magazines, and radio stations. After nearly two decades of divestiture, it was folded into News Corporation in 1988. History Triangle was formed by Walter Annenberg in 1947 from the assets and properties of the Cecelia Corporation, a company founded by his father, Moses Annenberg, and named for his mother, Sarah "Sadie" Cecelia Annenberg. WTNH (channel 8) is a television station licensed to New Haven, Connecticut, United States, serving the Hartford–New Haven market as an affiliate of ABC. It is owned by Nexstar Media Group alongside MyNetworkTV affiliate WCTX (channel 59), also licensed to New Haven. WPLR (99.1 MHz, also known as "99.1 PLR" or Connecticut's No. 1 Rock Station). licensed to New Haven, Connecticut, is a mainstream rock station owned by Connoisseur Media as of May 10, 2013. The station's playlist includes rock music from the 1970s to the early 2000s. The station, which first went on the air in 1948 as WNHC-FM, has a history as a pioneer in the AOR format, with which it has closely identified since its inception in the early 1970s. The physical location of the station has also changed as the studios are now co-located with other Connoisseur radio stations on Wheelers Farms Road in Milford. WTAJ-TV (channel 10) is a television station licensed to Altoona, Pennsylvania, United States, serving the Johnstown–Altoona– State College market as an affiliate of CBS. WFBG (1290 AM) is a radio station broadcasting a Top 40/ CHR radio format in Altoona, Pennsylvania. It transmits with 5,000 watts during the day, and 1,000 watts at night. WFBG's programming is also heard on 92.1 WJHT in Johnstown. History WFBG was first licensed on July 23, 1924, to the William F. Gable Co., owner of Gable's department store on 11th Avenue in Altoona, for 100 watts on 1150 kHz. The call letters were randomly assigned from a sequential list. Later that year the station moved to 1080 kHz, and as of the end of 1926 was reported to be on 1070 kHz.
