Tri-State Airport
Tri-State Airport (Milton J. Ferguson Field) is a public airport in Wayne County, West Virginia, United States, three miles south of Huntington, West Virginia, near Ceredo, West Virginia, Ceredo and Kenova, West Virginia, Kenova. Owned by the Tri-State Airport Authority, it serves Huntington; Ashland, Kentucky; and Ironton, Ohio. It has heavy use for general aviation, and after the withdrawal of Delta Air Lines in June 2012, it was down to two airlines, one of which provides nationwide connecting service. In addition, there is one cargo airline flying to the airport, for a total of three commercial airlines serving it. On August 2, 2021, a federal subsidy was announced to subsidize flights to Washington-Dulles and Chicago-O'Hare airports. It is not yet known which airline will operate the flights. ''Tri-State'' is the debut studio album by the British progressive trance group Above & Beyond, released on 6 March 2006. The album features collaborations with Zoë Johnston, Richard Bedford, Carrie Skipper and progressive trance producer Andy Moor. The first single from the album, "Air for Life", was released on 18 July 2005, and was voted Tune of the Year in 2005 on Armin Van Buuren's '' A State of Trance'' radio show. The single "Good for Me" (Above & Beyond Club Mix), featuring Zoë Johnston was voted Tune of the Year in 2006 on ''A State of Trance''. Tri-State District
The Tri-State district was a historic lead-zinc mining district located in present-day southwest Missouri, southeast Kansas and northeast Oklahoma. The district produced lead and zinc for over 100 years. Production began in the 1850s and 1860s in the Joplin - Granby area of Jasper and Newton counties of southwest Missouri. Production was particularly high during the World War I era and continued after World War II, but with declining activity. As jobs left the area, the communities declined in population. Tri-State Tornado
In the midday and afternoon hours of Wednesday, March 18, 1925, the deadliest tornado in United States history and second-deadliest worldwide moved through Eastern Missouri, Southern Illinois and Southern Indiana, killing 695 people and injuring 2,027 more in what is sometimes known as the Tri-State Tornado. The tornado touched down as part of a larger severe weather outbreak that hit the United States on the same day, and produced catastrophic damage across numerous villages and towns across all three states. Despite not being officially rated, it is widely accepted to have been equivalent to an F5 on the Fujita scale. The tornado touched down in Shannon County, Missouri, moving to the northeast. The tornado immediately began to produce heavy damage to structures before directly impacting Annapolis, destroying ninety percent of the town and killing two people. Tri-state Check Box
A checkbox (check box, tickbox, tick box) is a graphical widget that allows the user to make a binary choice, i.e. a choice between one of two possible mutually exclusive options. For example, the user may have to answer 'yes' (checked) or 'no' (not checked) on a simple yes/no question. Tri-State (band)
Tri-State is an American rock band from New Jersey. About Tri-State is a four-piece jangle pop and indie rock band from Maplewood, New Jersey, that formed in 2010, consisting of vocalist and guitarist Julian Brash, drummer Brady McNamara, bassist and vocalist Scott Stemmermann and guitarist and vocalist Tom Lucas. Jeff Zelevansky (vocalist/guitarist) and Mason Rather (bass/vocals) were founding members of the band; both have since left the band. Tri-State's music is described as "jangle-pop" and "guitar-based rock'n'roll," and they draw comparison to the groups R.E.M., Dinosaur Jr., Eleventh Dream Day, and the artist Neil Young. Trine University
Trine University is a private university in Angola, Indiana, and Fort Wayne, Indiana, with education centers in Detroit, Phoenix and Reston, Virginia. It was founded in 1884 and is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission. History "Tri-State Normal College" was established in 1884. For more than 120 years its name was derived from and referred to the "tri-state" area because of its location in Indiana with proximity to Michigan and Ohio. In 1906, the school name was shortened to "Tri-State College", and in 1975 it became "Tri-State University". In 2008, the school's name was changed to "Trine University" to honor alumni and significant donors, Ralph Trine and his wife Sheri. In digital electronics, a tri-state or three-state buffer is a type of digital buffer that has three stable states: a high voltage output state (logical 1), a low output state (logical 0), and a high-impedance (Hi-Z) state. In the Hi-Z state, the output of the buffer is effectively disconnected from the subsequent circuit. Tri-state buffers are commonly used in bus-based systems where multiple devices are connected to the same shared bus, because the Hi-Z state allows other devices to drive the bus without interference from the tri-state buffer. For example, in a computer system, multiple devices such as the CPU, memory, and peripherals may be connected to the same data bus.
