Trevor Bassitt
Trevor Bassitt (born February 26, 1998) is an American track and field athlete. Collegiate career Trevor competed at Ashland University, an NCAA Division II school. He was coached by Jud Logan. Prior to Ashland, he attended, Bluffton High School. Professional career Currently an unsponsored athlete, and without a permanent coach following the death of Jud Logan in the winter of 2022, Bassitt won the gold medal in the men's 400 metres event at the 2022 USA Indoor Track and Field Championships held in Spokane, Washington. He finished 2nd at the 2022 USA Outdoor Track and Field Championships in the 400m hurdles with a time of 47.47 s, to qualify for the 2022 World Athletics Championships. He won the bronze medal in the men's 400 metres hurdles event at the 2022 World Athletics Championships held in Eugene, Oregon, United States. 60 metres, or 60-meter dash, is a sprint event in track and field. It is a championship event for indoor championships, normally dominated by the best outdoor 100 metres runners. At outdoor venues it is a rare distance, at least for senior athletes. The format of the event is similar to other sprint distances. The sprinters follow three initial instructions: 'ready', instructing them to take up position in the starting blocks; 'set', instructing them to adopt a more efficient starting posture, which also isometrically preloads their muscles. This will enable them to start faster. The final instruction is the firing of the starter's pistol. Upon hearing this the sprinters stride forwards from the blocks. 200 Metres
The 200 metres, or 200-meter dash, is a sprint running event. On an outdoor 400 metre racetrack, the race begins on the curve and ends on the home straight, so a combination of techniques is needed to successfully run the race. A slightly shorter race, called the '' stadion'' and run on a straight track, was the first recorded event at the ancient Olympic Games. The 200 m places more emphasis on speed endurance than shorter sprint distances as athletes predominantly rely on anaerobic energy system during the 200 m sprint. The 100 metres, or 100-meter dash, is a sprint race in track and field competitions. The shortest common outdoor running distance, the dash is one of the most popular and prestigious events in the sport of athletics. 2022 USA Outdoor Track And Field Championships
The 2022 USA Outdoor Track and Field Championships were held in Eugene, Oregon organized by USA Track and Field. It was serving as the national championships in track and field for the United States. The results of the event determined qualification for the 2022 World Athletics Championships, also held in Eugene. Provided they had achieved the World standard or are in the World Athletics ranking quota, the top three athletes in each event gained a place on the World team. In the event that a leading athlete did not hold the standard, or an athlete withdrew, the next highest finishing athlete with the standard was selected instead. USA Track and Field announced their World Championship roster based on these guidelines in July 2022.
