James Cullum Tredwell (born 27 February 1982) is an English former international cricketer. A left-handed batsman and a right-arm off break bowler, he played his domestic cricket for Kent County Cricket Club and was appointed as County Captain for the 2013 season. He made his debut for Kent in the 2001 season, nine days before his first appearance for England Under-19 cricket team, England Under-19s. He often fielded at slip. He was part of the one-day set-up for Kent since 2002, but did not secure a regular place in the first-class cricket, first-class County Championship team until 2007, a year after taking his maiden ten-wicket haul. Roger Culver Tredwell (July 1885 – July 12, 1961.) was an American diplomat. He received international attention when he was imprisoned in Russian Central Asia by Bolshevik forces shortly after the Russian Revolution. Diplomatic career Tredwell had a variety of positions all over the world. In 1914 he was stationed in Bristol, England. In 1915 he served in Italy at Turin and then Rome.. By 1917 he was serving in Russia, at which time he went to Turkestan on a fact-finding mission and was imprisoned. Triduana
Saint Triduana, also known as Trodline, Tredwell, and in Norse as Trøllhaena, was an early Christian woman, associated with various places in Scotland. She lived at an unknown time, probably between the 4th and 8th centuries CE. According to the 16th-century '' Aberdeen Breviary'', Triduana was born in the Greek city of Colosse, and travelled from Constantinople with Saint Rule, who brought the bones of Saint Andrew to Scotland in the 4th century AD. A pious woman, she settled at Rescobie near Forfar in Angus, but her beauty attracted the attentions of a King of the Picts named Nechtan. The legend tells that to stall these unwanted attentions, Triduana tore out her own eyes and gave them to Nechtan. Afterwards, she was associated with curing eye disorders. She spent her later years in Restalrig, Lothian, and healed the blind who came to her. She was buried at Restalrig when she died. Thomas Tredwell
Thomas Tredwell (February 6, 1743 – December 30, 1831) was an American lawyer and politician from Plattsburgh, New York. He served in the New York State Senate and represented New York in the United States House of Representatives from 1791 to 1795. Biography Tredwell was born in Smithtown in the Province of New York on February 6, 1743. He graduated from Princeton College in 1764 where he studied law. He was admitted to the bar and began practice in Plattsburgh. He owned slaves. He was a delegate to the Provincial Congress of New York in 1774 and 1775 and a delegate to the State constitutional convention in 1776 and 1777. He was member of the New York State Assembly from 1777 to 1783; judge of the court of probate from 1778 to 1787; served in the New York State Senate from 1786 to 1789; surrogate of Suffolk County, New York from 1787 to 1791; and delegate to the State ratification convention in 1788.
