Aaron Louis Treadwell
Aaron Louis Treadwell, Ph.D. (1866–1947) was a college professor of zoology at Vassar. He was born at Redding, Connecticut, and educated at Wesleyan University (B.S., 1888; M.S., 1890) and at the University of Chicago (Ph.D., 1898). He was a professor of zoology and geology at Miami University (1891–1900), professor of biology at Vassar (1900–14), and afterwards professor of zoology. In addition to his work in the schools, he was instructor at the Marine Biological Laboratory at Woods Hole. Treadwell published ''The Cytogeny of Podarke obscura'' (1901). John Treadwell
John Treadwell (November 23, 1745 – August 18, 1823) was an American politician and the 21st Governor of Connecticut. Biography Treadwell was born in Farmington, Connecticut the only son of Ephraim and Mary (Porter) Treadwell, on November 23, 1745. He graduated from Yale University in 1767. He then studied law with Judge Titus Hosmer in Middletown, was admitted to the bar and practiced law in Farmington. On November 20, 1770, John Treadwell married Dorothy Pomroy, of Northampton, Massachusetts. They had four daughters, Dolle 1st, who died at just three years of age; Dolle 2nd; Eunice; and Mary, and two sons, George and John. Career Treadwell served as a member of the General Assembly from 1776 to 1783. He was then elevated to the governor's council. He held that position until 1783. Timothy Treadwell (born Timothy William Dexter; April 29, 1957 – October 5, 2003) was an American bear enthusiast, environmentalist, documentary filmmaker, and founder of the bear-protection organization Grizzly People. He lived among coastal brown bears (''Ursus arctos gyas'') in Katmai National Park, Alaska, for 13 summers. Oscar Treadwell (born Arthur Pedersen) (May 11, 1926 - April 1, 2006) was an American jazz radio journalist and presenter. Known as "OT", he became known mainly by a dedication to him by Charlie Parker, a composition called "An Oscar for Treadwell". Treadwell's first jobs were as an industrial manager and consultant. He won the 2009 Grand National on Mon Mome at odds of 100/1, and also won the United House Gold Cup, Byrne Group Plate and Grand Sefton Steeplechase races.
