Arvid Torgeir Lie
Arvid Torgeir Lie (18 August 1938 – 19 May 2020) was a Norwegian poet, writer of short stories and translator. He was born in Skafså in Mo, current Tokke municipality. Among his poetry collections are ''Under fuglens vengjekross'' (1967) and ''Snøvinter'' (1968), and his collection of short stories, ''Den nye maskina og andre noveller'', came in 1986. He received the Halldis Moren Vesaas Prize in 1995, and the Dobloug Prize in 2007. Lie died on 19 May 2020. Torgeir Garmo
Torgeir T. Garmo (born 13 March 1941) is a Norwegian hotelier, rock collector, non-fiction writer and politician for the Centre and Liberal parties. Garmo was a member of Lom municipal council for the Centre Party. In 1979, he quit his membership together with mayor Kristen Brandsar. Ahead of the 1981 Norwegian parliamentary election, the Centre and Liberal parties decided to contest the election through a common list. While each party fielded their independent ballots, one candidate could become a deputy for another party's candidate. The Centre Party's top candidate Lars Velsand warned that the now-Liberal Garmo could be his deputy, instead of the Centre Party's preferred deputies Syver Berge and Maj-Britt Svastuen. Torgeir Trældal (born 1965) is a Norwegian politician and member of parliament from representing Nordland for the Progress Party. Trældal is from Narvik and served in the city council as leader of the opposition in that town until his election to parliament. In 2006, Trældal was sued by the against leaders in Narvik Energi for alleged slanderous statements about economic misconduct in the energy company. Although he was convicted in the trial court, the Court of appeal ruled in Trældal's favor, and the Supreme Court turned down the energy company's appeal. The Progress Party nominated Trældal as their third candidate from Nordland in the 2009 election. During the election Trældal campaigned on improving the municipality finances, building the Hålogaland Bridge without toll stations, and permitting oil activity in Lofoten and Vesterålen. Torgeir Byrknes, better known by his stage name Teebee, is a Norwegian DJ and producer of drum and bass. He also runs the record label Subtitles Recordings. Teebee began DJing in 1990 and released his first record in 1996. He won the Knowledge Magazine award for ''Best International Producer'' in 2001. Musicology Teebee's music is characterised by a strong dark and futuristic science fiction influence. TeeBee material could be classed as neurofunk or techstep, although possessing a deeper ambient and atmospheric quality than much of this subgenre. Torgeir Brandtzæg
Torgeir Torbjørn Brandtzæg (born 6 October 1941) is a retired Norwegian ski jumper who won bronze medals both in the large hill and normal hill at the 1964 Winter Olympics. Brandtzæg placed fifth in the Four Hills Tournament in 1963; he won it in 1965, placing first in three out of four events. He also held the national jumping titles in 1963–1965. In 1965, while competing in Finland, he broke his leg in three places and was forced to retire. After that he married and became a farmer in Sparbu.
