Tony Wright (born 23 October 1949, in London), also known as Sue Ab Surd, is an artist who created album covers such as Bob Marley's '' Natty Dread'' and Traffic's '' The Low Spark of High Heeled Boys'' and others including Bob Dylan's '' Saved''. His art work for ''The Low Spark of High Heeled Boys'' and Steve Winwood's '' Arc of a Diver'' were listed amongst ''Rolling Stone's'' 100 Greatest Album Covers. The cover for ''The Low Spark of High Heeled Boys'' is part of the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art. Jim Capaldi
Nicola James Capaldi (2 August 1944 – 28 January 2005) was an English singer-songwriter and drummer. His musical career spanned more than four decades. He co-founded the progressive rock band Traffic in 1967 with Steve Winwood with whom he co-wrote the majority of the band's material. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a part of Traffic's original lineup. Capaldi also performed with Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, George Harrison, Alvin Lee, Cat Stevens, and Mylon LeFevre, and wrote lyrics for other artists, such as " Love Will Keep Us Alive" and "This is Reggae Music". Boxer (band)
Boxer were a rock band formed by singer and keyboardist Mike Patto and guitarist Ollie Halsall in 1975. They signed to Virgin and three albums followed, '' Below the Belt'' (1975), '' Absolutely'' (1977) and '' Bloodletting'' (1979), which also featured Bobby Tench and Boz Burrell. The band dissolved after ''Absolutely'' when Patto became ill. The band was managed by Nigel Thomas who secured a five-album deal over five years with CBS, reputed to have been worth £1.2million, and was never fully executed due to Patto's death on 4 March 1979. Aswad are a British reggae group, noted for adding strong R&B and soul influences to the reggae sound. They have been performing since the mid-1970s, having released a total of 21 albums. Their UK hit singles include the number one "Don't Turn Around" (1988) and " Shine" (1994). "Aswad" is Arabic for "black". They are three-time Grammy Award nominees. In Jamaica, the album was released under the name ''Scratch the Super Ape'' in July 1976 on Perry's own Upsetter label. Lee "Scratch" Perry (born Rainford Hugh Perry; 20 March 1936 – 29 August 2021) was a Jamaican record producer, songwriter and singer noted for his innovative studio techniques and production style. Third World is a Jamaican reggae fusion band formed in 1973. Their sound is influenced by soul, funk and disco. Although it has undergone several line-up changes, Stephen "Cat" Coore and Richard Daley have been constant members.
