Anthony Carter (born September 17, 1960) is an American former professional football player who was a wide receiver for 13 years in the United States Football League (USFL) and National Football League (NFL). He made three-consecutive Pro Bowls for the Minnesota Vikings and was honored by Minnesota as one of the 50 Greatest Vikings of all time. Carter played college football for the Michigan Wolverines, finishing his career as a three-time All-American, and a two-time unanimous All-American selection. He is currently third all-time in receiving yards, and second all-time in receiving touchdowns for the University of Michigan. College career Carter played at the University of Michigan from 1979 to 1982. Anthony Bernard Carter (born June 16, 1975) is an American basketball coach and former player who is an assistant coach for the Memphis Grizzlies. He played college basketball for Saddleback College and the Hawaii Rainbow Warriors. Early life Born in Milwaukee, WI, Carter played as a freshman on the varsity team of Alonzo A. Crim High School in Atlanta. However, after his freshman year, Carter quit high school. After leaving school, Carter spent his teenage years playing basketball for money in Atlanta. The ''Rocky Mountain News'' quoted Carter stating: "The dope man would put up the money, and we would play. We used to play for the drug dealers. That's how we were going to make our money. We didn't sell the drugs ... (I used the money) to buy shoes and food. That was the only way we could eat." Anthony Scott Carter (born April 4, 1986) is an American former professional baseball pitcher. He previously pitched for the Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Fighters of Nippon Professional Baseball. He was a member of the United States national baseball team that won a silver medal in the 2020 Summer Olympics. Professional career Chicago White Sox Carter graduated from Parkview High School in Lilburn, Georgia. He attended Georgia Perimeter College, and was selected by the Chicago White Sox in the 26th round of the 2005 MLB draft. He made his professional debut in 2006 with the Bristol White Sox and spent the whole season there as a starter, going 2–8 with a 7.67 ERA across 63.1 innings. Anthony Charles Carter (born 31 August 1994) is an Australian professional footballer who plays as a forward for Primeira Liga club Santa Clara. Club career Carter was born in Dandenong, Victoria. He played youth football with Melbourne Phoenix and at the Genova International School of Soccer, finishing his development in Romania with CFR Cluj. The Carter Twins were an Irish musical duo considering of twin brothers Anthony and Stephen Carter who were active from the late 1990s.
