Puscifer () is an American rock group formed in Los Angeles by Maynard James Keenan, known as the lead singer of the bands Tool and A Perfect Circle. Initially, Keenan was the only permanent member, and as such he considered the project to be his "creative subconscious". Later, frequent collaborators Mat Mitchell and Carina Round became permanent members. Background Puscifer's original name was Umlaut, "a premiere improvisational hardcore band". The name "Puscifer" was first publicized as a fictional band in the first episode of '' Mr. Show'', including Keenan and Adam Jones as members. Jones is not associated with Puscifer otherwise, although artwork by Jones has been featured on Puscifer apparel (the "Your Mom's a Bitch" shirt, specifically). Siege Of Toma
The siege of Toma was a bloodless action during the First World War on the island of New Pomerania (now New Britain) between 14 and 17 September 1914 as part of the occupation of German New Guinea by the Australian Naval and Military Expeditionary Force (AN&MEF). Australian forces had been dispatched to seize and destroy German wireless stations in the south-west Pacific because they were used by the German East Asian Cruiser Squadron of Vice Admiral Maximilian von Spee which threatened merchant shipping in the region. New Zealand provided a similar force for the occupation of German Samoa. Ultimately the German colonial government was forced to surrender after being surrounded, ending the last significant resistance in the territory. Prelude The Australian Naval and Military Expeditionary Force (AN&MEF) reached Rabaul on 11 September, finding the port free of German forces. Small parties of naval reservists landed at Kabakaul and Herbertshöhe on Neu-Pommern, southeast of ...

La Toma
''La Toma'' ( Spanish: ''The taking'') was a significant legal declaration made by Don Juan de Oñate on April 30, 1598. This event marked the formal assertion of Spanish sovereignty over the territories north of the Rio Grande, in present-day Texas, and laid the groundwork for the colonization of New Mexico. Background Don Juan de Oñate was a Spanish explorer and conquistador born in 1550 in what is now Mexico. He was the son of Cristóbal de Oñate, one of the founders of Zacatecas. In his youth, Oñate engaged in military campaigns against indigenous groups such as the Chichimecas. His ambitions led him to seek permission from the Spanish crown to explore and settle new territories in North America, which he received in 1595 from Viceroy Luis de Velasco. Oñate's expedition began in 1598, comprising over 400 Tlaxcaltecs, soldiers, priests, and supplies necessary for establishing a settlement. The expedition aimed not only to conquer but also to spread Christianity among th ...

Toma (song)
"Toma" is the fourth single from rapper Pitbull (rapper), Pitbull's debut album ''M.I.A.M.I.'' (2005), and features Atlanta rapper and frequent collaborator Lil Jon. It peaked at No. 21 on the US Hot Rap Songs chart and No. 73 on the US Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart. On several occasions, the song has been heavily edited to make it "radio edit, radio-friendly". Most versions removed the English profanity in the song, while keeping the Spanish sexually-explicit lines, such as "''Si tú quieres que te coma toda, abre las piernas''" (which translates to "if you want me to eat you up, open your legs", a reference to cunnilingus) and "''Quítate la ropa si estás caliente''" (or "take your clothes off if you're hot", repeated several times in succession during the song's bridge). In the "clean" edits, the entire song is made radio-friendly by removing all explicit verses, in both languages. The song was also featured in the 2006 films ''Step Up (film), Step Up'' and ''Date Movie''. Rem ...
