Tom Sawyer No Boken
is a Japanese anime television series produced by Nippon Animation and directed by Hiroshi Saito, which premiered on January 6, 1980, and ended its run on December 28 the same year. It is based on the 1876 novel ''The Adventures of Tom Sawyer'' by Mark Twain (and partially on ''The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn''). The series was broadcast on the World Masterpiece Theater, an animation staple on Fuji TV, that each year showcased an animated version of a classical book or story of Western literature, and was originally titled ''Tom Sawyer no Bōken''. It was the second installment of the series, after ''Rascal the Raccoon'' in 1977, to feature the work of an American author. This series was dubbed into English by Saban International and broadcast on HBO in 1988 under the title ''The Adventures of Tom Sawyer'' at 7:30 am. Rascal The Raccoon
is a 1977 Japanese animated series by Nippon Animation. This anime is based on the 1963 autobiographical novel '' Rascal, A Memoir of a Better Era'' by Sterling North. As a result of the anime's popularity, many pet raccoons were imported to Japan, which caused them to become an invasive species in the country. Plot The anime revolves around a young boy who decided to provide shelter to a raccoon that was discovered by a hunter. As the boy attempted to domesticate the wild animal as part of his family, he soon realized through trials and tribulations that his efforts were futile and decided to release Rascal back into the wild. Sumiko Shirakawa
was a Japanese actress and voice actress from Shibuya, Tokyo. She was best known for roles as Hiroshi Nakajima (Sazae-san), Hidetoshi Dekisugi (Doraemon) and Ace ( Space Ace). On November 26, 2015, Shirakawa failed to attend a recording session for Sazae-San. Her body was discovered at her home by family members and staff members of the Sazae-san anime. is a Japanese actress. Beginning work as a child actress at the age of three, by the time she became an adult, voice acting had inadvertently become her main occupation. Thomas "Tom" Sawyer () is the title character of the Mark Twain novel '' The Adventures of Tom Sawyer'' (1876).
