Sumiko Shirakawa
was a Japanese actress and voice actress from Shibuya, Tokyo. She was best known for roles as Hiroshi Nakajima (Sazae-san), Hidetoshi Dekisugi (Doraemon) and Ace ( Space Ace). On November 26, 2015, Shirakawa failed to attend a recording session for Sazae-San. Her body was discovered at her home by family members and staff members of the Sazae-san anime. Dog Of Flanders (TV Series)
is a 1975 Japanese anime television series adaptation of Ouida's 1872 novel of A Dog of Flanders, the same name, produced by Nippon Animation. 52 episodes were produced. A film version was released in 1997. The series represents the bond between a boy and his ever so faithful dog living in a 19th century Flanders village near Antwerp. The emotional story shows the boy's struggles in life, and his hopes of becoming a great classical painter. The anime series is notable for being the first official entry in the ''World Masterpiece Theater'' series (''Calpis Children's Theater'' at the time). Yoshiko Ōta
(born as Yoshiko Saka (阪 淑子)) (April 25, 1932 – October 29, 2021) was a Japanese voice actress from Hyogo Prefecture, affiliated with Theatre Echo. Career Ōta joined Takarazuka Revue in 1947, and remained with them until 1952. She joined Theatre Echo in 1963. Personal life She married fellow voice actor Osamu Saka, whom she met while a member of the Takarazuka Revue. The couple moved to Tokyo in 1964. Ōta passed away from heart failure at the age of 89 on October 29, 2021. Her death was announced on November 9th by Theatre Echo.
