"Time, Time" is the title track of a 1967 album by Ed Ames. The song is also known as "Tu As Beau Sourire" (You Have a Beautiful Smile). The music was composed by Armand Canfora and Joss Baselli with lyrics by Michel Jourdan. In English the lyrics were written by Mort Shuman. On the ''Billboard'' Hot 100, "Time, Time" peaked at number sixty-one, and was Ames' second of three number ones on the Easy Listening chart in the US, when it topped the chart in June 1967. Ed Ames (born Edmund Dantes Urick; July 9, 1927), who also recorded as Eddie Ames, is an American singer and actor. He is known for playing Mingo in the television series ''Daniel Boone'', and for his pop hits of the mid-to-late 1960s including " My Cup Runneth Over", " Who Will Answer?", and "When the Snow Is on the Roses". He was also part of the popular 1950s singing group with his siblings, the Ames Brothers. Early life and career Ames was born in Malden, Massachusetts, United States, to Jewish parents Sarah (Zaslavskaya) and David Urick (aka Eurich), who had emigrated from Ukraine. He was the youngest of nine children, five boys and four girls. Ames grew up in a poor household. Mort Shuman
Mortimer Shuman (12 November 1938 – 2 November 1991) was an American singer, pianist and songwriter, best known as co-writer of many 1960s rock and roll hits, including " Viva Las Vegas". He also wrote and sang many songs in French, such as "Le Lac Majeur", "Papa-Tango-Charly", "Sha Mi Sha", "Un Été de Porcelaine", and "Brooklyn by the Sea" which became hits in France. Life and career Shuman was born in Brooklyn, New York, United States, of Polish Jewish immigrants and went to Abraham Lincoln High School, subsequently studying music at the New York Conservatory. He became a fan of R&B music and after he met Doc Pomus the two teamed up to compose for Aldon Music at offices in New York City's Brill Building. Jim Foglesong
James Staton Foglesong (July 26, 1922 – July 9, 2013) was an American country music producer and executive from the 1950s until the 1990s, based in Nashville, Tennessee. Biography Foglesong was born in Lundale, West Virginia. As a teenager, he sang on a local radio show and in quartets and trios into his young adult years. He began his career in the music industry at Columbia Records' label in 1951, transferring 78 RPM records into LP formats. Over the next 20 years, he worked for RCA-Victor until moving to Nashville in 1970 to head the A&R division at Dot Records. He was named president of Dot in 1973 — the only president of a major Nashville label at the time, where he changed the company's vision from pop to country.
