António José de Oliveira Meireles (9 April 1951 – 28 December 2021), known as Tibi, was a Portuguese footballer who played as a goalkeeper. Club career Born in Matosinhos, Porto District, Tibi spent the better part of his 19-year senior career with FC Porto after signing in 1982 from local club Leixões SC. After being first choice for manager Béla Guttmann, he was made surplus to requirements by José Maria Pedroto. Ahmad Tibi ( ; , sometimes spelled Ahmed Tibi; born 19 December 1958) is a Palestinian-Israeli politician. The leader of the Ta'al party, he has served as a member of the Knesset since 1999. Tibi was acknowledged as a figure in the Israeli-Palestinian arena after serving as a political advisor to the late Palestinian president Yasser Arafat (1993–1999). Tibi is also a trained physician and graduate of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem as a gynecologist. Bassam Tibi (), is a Syrian-born German political scientist and professor of international relations specializing in Islamic studies and Middle Eastern studies. He was born in 1944 in Damascus, Syria to an aristocratic family, and moved to West Germany in 1962, where he later became a naturalized citizen in 1976. He is known for his analysis of international relations and the introduction of Islam to the study of international conflict and of civilization. Tibi is known for introducing the controversial concept of European '' Leitkultur'', as well as the concept of '' Euroislam'' to discussions about integration of Muslim immigrants in European countries. Eitan Tibi (or Eytan, ; born 16 November 1987) is an Israeli professional footballer who plays as a centre-back for Israeli Premier League club Hapoel Be'er Sheva and the Israel national team. Early life Tibi was born in Jerusalem, Israel, to a Sephardic Jewish family. Club career Tibi started his career in the youth teams of Beitar Haifa and Maccabi Netanya. In 2006–07 he signed for Beitar Jerusalem for four years at the age of 19. On his senior year with the club he could not break into the first team and in 2007–08 he was loaned to Hapoel Ra'anana. Tibicos, or water kefir, is a traditional fermented drink made with water and water kefir grains held in a polysaccharide biofilm matrix created by the bacteria. It is sometimes consumed as an alternative to milk-based probiotic drinks or tea-cultured products such as kombucha. Water kefir is typically made as a probiotic homebrew beverage. The finished product, if bottled, will produce a carbonated beverage. Origin The origin of tibicos grains is not known exactly. In 1889, Martinus Beijerinck conjectured that the grains from the '' ginger beer plant'' were originally brought by the British soldiers while returning to their country from the Crimean War in 1855. This was later dismissed as unsubstantiated by Harry Marshall Ward in 1892 noting its real origins remain a mystery. As a different theory, Lutz (1899) reported "Tibi grains" which were plucked from the leaves of a Mexican cactus (''Opuntia'').
