Thy Will Be Done
Thy Will Be Done is an American metalcore band formed in 2005 from Providence, Rhode Island. As of 2024, the ensemble has released three studio albums and one EP. The albums ''Was and Is to Come'' (2007) and ''In Ancient of Days'' (2009) were released via Stillborn Records. The 2012 EP ''Temple'' and 2024 full-length Pillar of Fire were released via Eye.On Lion Recordings. Both ''Was and Is to Come'' and ''Temple'' reached no. 9 on the Billboard Heatseekers charts. Since the release of ''Temple'', the band has recorded three cover songs: "Emerald" by Thin Lizzy, "March of the Pigs" by Nine Inch Nails, and "Cockroaches" by Nailbomb, as well as released two singles, "Breath of Light" and "Last Ghost to Kill". James Vincent Shanahan (born August 7, 1977), known professionally as Jamey Jasta, is an American vocalist, best known as the lead singer of metalcore band Hatebreed and sludge metal band Kingdom of Sorrow. Jasta also fronts metalcore band Icepick. Prior to Hatebreed, he fronted the hardcore band Jasta 14. Career In 2000 Jasta was featured as a guest vocalist on Catch 22's ''Alone in a Crowd''. Jasta owns Stillborn Records, a hardcore- and metal-based record label from West Haven, Connecticut, and a "rock-themed apparel" line called Hatewear. The band is named after the Whitechapel district in east London, England, where Jack the Ripper committed a Whitechapel murders, series of murders. Crowbar (US Band)
Crowbar is an American sludge metal band formed in New Orleans, Louisiana in 1990. The band is fronted by vocalist/guitarist Kirk Windstein, Crowbar's sole constant member. Infusing a slow, brooding doom metal sound with the aggression of hardcore punk, Crowbar along with other bands in the New Orleans heavy metal scene pioneered a style known as sludge metal, though Windstein himself has admitted a dislike for the term. Goatwhore is an American extreme metal band formed in New Orleans, Louisiana in 1997. Biography Goatwhore was formed by guitarist/backing vocalist Sammy “Pierre” Duet, who was previously the lead guitarist for Louisiana sludge metal band Acid Bath.
