Thomas Madsen-Mygdal
Thomas Madsen-Mygdal (24 December 1876 – 23 February 1943) was a Danish politician from Venstre (Denmark), Venstre who served as the prime minister of Denmark from 1926 to 1929. He was also minister for agriculture from 1920 to 1924 and again while concurrently being prime minister. Early life and education Madsen-Mygdal was born in Mygdal, Vendsyssel, the son of landstingsmand, statsrevisor N.P. Madsen-Mygdal (1835–1913) and Ane Kirstine Jacobsen (1839–1902). He became a teacher from Jelling Seminarium but later studied agriculture. The prime minister of Denmark (, , ) is the head of government in the Kingdom of Denmark comprising the three constituent countries: Denmark, Greenland and the Faroe Islands. Knud Kristensen (26 October 1880 – 28 September 1962) was Prime Minister (Denmark), Prime Minister of Denmark from 7 November 1945 to 13 November 1947 in the first elected government after the German occupation of Denmark during World War II. Edelgave is a manor house situated just southwest of Smørumnedre, Egedal Municipality, 20 km northwest of central Copenhagen, Denmark. The current main building was designed by Andreas Kirkerup and is listed. History 17th century The area is first mentioned in 1307 when Cecilie Jonsdatter left it to Esrum Abbey in her will and the property is later known as Rompe. The property was from about 1600 owned by the crown. The farm was destroyed in the two Dano-Swedish War (1658–60), Dano-Swedish Wars (1657-1660). In 1663, Frederik III of Denmark, Frederik III granted the property to Admiral of the Realm Henrik Bjelke and his wife Edel Ylfeldt for life. Five years later, the king created a deed which ceded the property to Edel Ulfeldt and her descendants. It mentions the name "Edelgave" as the name of a future manor house at the site.
