Thomas Evans (strongman)
Thomas 'Tom' Evans (born 9 May 1994) is an American Strongman from Franklin, North Carolina. Evans worked as an athletics assistant strength and conditioning coach at the University of Delaware and was also an American Football player before trying out for 2021 America's Strongest Man. The following year, within a span of 6 months, he won both the 2022 Arnold Amateur and the Shaw Classic Open which paved the way for him to attend other high level international competitions. Evans has qualified for the World's Strongest Man competition on three occasions (2023, 2024, 2025) but has yet to reach the finals. His highest placements in international competitions are fifth at the Arnold Strongman Classic, sixth at the Strongest Man on Earth and sixth at the Rogue Invitational. 2024 Rogue Invitational
The 2024 Rogue Invitational was a sporting event organized by Rogue Fitness that featured competitions in the sport of CrossFit, strongman, and strongwoman. It was held at P&J Live in Aberdeen, Scotland from 8 to 10 November 2024, the first time the event was held outside the United States. Elephant Bar
The elephant bar is a barbell developed by Rogue Fitness which is specifically used for the strongman raw deadlift. It was first created in 2016 by Terry Todd, the director of the Arnold Strongman Classic. The bar is known for being long and made from 200,000 psi tensile strength stainless steel, making it bend more than a power bar, and whip both up and down as well as forwards and backwards, while the deadlift is being performed.
