Things (Bobby Darin Song)
"Things" is a song which was written and recorded by Bobby Darin in 1962. Released as a single, it reached No.3 in the U.S.and Canada, No.2 in the U.K., and No.3 in the first-ever official Irish Singles Chart, published by RTÉ in October 1962. It was later covered by Ronnie Dove and became a Top 30 country hit for him. In 1962, Darin began to write and sing country music, with hit songs including "Things". It was the final Darin single released on the Atco Records unit of Atlantic Records before he began recording for Capitol Records. While vault material would continue to be issued on Atco, Darin wouldn't return to Atlantic Records until 1965. Darin's next hits after "Things" were "You're the Reason I'm Living" (U.S. No.3), and "18 Yellow Roses" (U.S. No.10) on Capitol Records, which Darin joined in 1962 (he returned to Atlantic four years later). Bobby Darin (born Walden Robert Cassotto; May 14, 1936 – December 20, 1973) was an American singer, songwriter, and actor who performed Pop music, pop, Swing music, swing, Folk music, folk, rock and roll, and country music. Darin started his career as a songwriter for Connie Francis. Jerry Lee Lewis (September 29, 1935October 28, 2022) was an American pianist, singer, and songwriter. Nicknamed "The Killer", he was described as "rock 'n' roll's first great wild man". Remo Germani, the stage name of Remo Speroni, (31 May 1938 – 18 October 2010) was an Italian singer and occasional actor, mainly successful in the 1960s. Life and career He was born in Milan. While employed as a bank teller in 1957, Germani started performing as a singer in his spare time. Put under contract by the record company Jolly, in 1962 he got his first success, "Baci". In 1963 he ranked third on the Italian hit parade with the song "Non andare col tamburo". Between 1964 and 1967 he participated to four editions of the Sanremo Music Festival and appeared in a few Musicarello films. In 1978 he moved to Vigevano, where he founded Radio City Ducale. The Lennon Sisters
The Lennon Sisters are an American vocal group that has been made up, at one time or another, of three or four sisters. The quartet originally consisted of Dianne (a.k.a. DeeDee; born Dianne Barbara, December 1, 1939), Peggy (born Margaret Anne, April 8, 1941), Kathy (born Kathleen Mary, August 2, 1943), and Janet (born Janet Elizabeth, June 15, 1946). From 1955 to 1968, the group appeared regularly on ''The Lawrence Welk Show'' (receiving union scale wages) before having their own television variety show, called '' Jimmy Durante Presents the Lennon Sisters'', with Jimmy Durante.
