''The Winter Sun Makes Me Melancholy…'' (Ο ήλιος του χειμώνα με μελαγχολεί…) was Pyx Lax's third studio album, released in 1993 on the Harvest label by Minos-EMI. It was the album which firmly established their reputation in Greece. It included their first big hit, "Let Her Talk" (Άστην να λέει), which was sung on the album by the guest singer Vasilis Karras. Pyx Lax
Pyx Lax (, meaning "punching and kicking") is a Greek rock band. Originally formed in 1989, they released their first recording in 1990, and had a critical and commercial success in the Greek music industry for fifteen years, before being dissolved in 2004. They reunited in 2011 for a tour in honor of Manos Xydous who died in 2010. In 2018, they reunited permanently. They are considered as the most successful, commercially, group in the history of Greek discography with three gold and five platinum albums (among which: '' Gia Tous Prinkipes Tis Dytikis Ochthis'', ''Stilvi'', ''Yparchoun Chrysopsara Edo?''). Some of their greatest hits were: "De Tha Dakryso Pia Gia Sena", "Ti Ine Afto Pou Mas Enoni?", "I Palies Agapes Pane Ston Paradeiso", "Mia Synousia Mystiki", "Epapses Agapi na thymizeis", "Poula me", and "Monaxia mou ola". Harvest Records is a British-American record label belonging to Capitol Music Group, originally created by EMI in 1969. History Harvest Records was created by EMI in 1969 to market progressive rock music, and to compete with Philips' Vertigo and Decca's Deram labels, and the independent Island label. Vasilis Karras
Vasilis Karras (; born Vasilis Kesoglidis, 12 November 1953 – 24 December 2023) was a Greek laïko singer. Early life Karras was born on 12 November 1953 in Kokkinohori, Kavala, Greece, to Pontian parents. At the age of 10, his family moved to Thessaloniki, where his brother and sister were born. Career In the 1970s, Karras gained a reputation on the Greek laiko (folk songs) stage singing throughout Northern Greece, and towards the end of the decade had begun to develop his own repertoire, working with song writers and also creating his own work. His first album ''Alismonites ores'' was released in 1980 and around this time he decided to devote his life and career to folk music and sing professionally. Babis Stokas
Babis Stokas (Greek: Μπάμπης Στόκας) is a Greek singer and songwriter. He was a founding member of the Entekhno/Rock group Pyx Lax (Πυξ Λαξ), in which he was lead singer, lyricist, and composer from 1989 until the dissolution of the band in 2004. Since then he has performed as a solo artist. Personal career Stokas released his first personal album, ''Poulia tis Nychtas'', in 2001, while Pyx Lax were still active.
