The Virgins
The Virgins were an American indie rock band formed in 2006 in New York City. The band split up in November 2013. History 2006–2007: Formation Frontman Donald Cumming began writing music by himself in his New York apartment. He then recruited friends to fill out the band. Almost immediately they made a five-song EP titled '' The Virgins '07'', compiled of the band's early recordings, and songs Donald had already recorded himself. Upon completion, Cumming passed out the EP to friends and DJs causing the music to pervade the New York club scene. Soon after, the demo came across Atlantic Records who signed Cumming before the band was fully formed. The Tribeca Festival is an annual film festival organized by Tribeca Enterprises. It takes place each spring in New York City, showcasing a diverse selection of film, episodic, talks, music, games, art, and immersive programming. The festival was founded by Robert De Niro, Jane Rosenthal, and Craig Hatkoff in 2002 to spur the economic and cultural revitalization of Lower Manhattan following the September 11 attacks, September 11, 2001, attacks on the World Trade Center. Leeds is a city in West Yorkshire, England. ''Cop Out'' is a 2010 American buddy cop action comedy film directed and edited by Kevin Smith and written by Mark and Robb Cullen. It is the only film in Smith’s career that he directed without writing himself. Jeromes Dream
Jeromes Dream is a screamo band formed in West Haven, Connecticut and currently based in San Francisco, California, originally active from 1997 to 2001, and again from 2018 onwards. History Jeromes Dream formed on September 13, 1997 after a short jam session that was held in the basement of guitarist Nick Antonopoulos in his mother's house with bassist Jeff Smith and drummer Erik Ratensperger. According to Ratensperger, their first recorded material was intended to be used for a demo release; however, it caught the attention of Rice Control Records, resulting in the intended demo material being released as a split album with Amalgamation. The Strokes are an American Rock music, rock band formed in New York City in 1998. Julian Fernando Casablancas (born August 23, 1978) is an American musician. He is the lead vocalist and primary songwriter of the Rock music, rock band the Strokes, with whom he has released six studio albums since their founding in 1998. Casablancas released a solo studio album, ''Phrazes for the Young'', in 2009, and has released three albums with the experimental rock band the Voidz. A native New York City, New Yorker, he was born to businessman John Casablancas.
