Jeromes Dream
Jeromes Dream is a screamo band formed in West Haven, Connecticut and currently based in San Francisco, California, originally active from 1997 to 2001, and again from 2018 onwards. History Jeromes Dream formed on September 13, 1997 after a short jam session that was held in the basement of guitarist Nick Antonopoulos in his mother's house with bassist Jeff Smith and drummer Erik Ratensperger. According to Ratensperger, their first recorded material was intended to be used for a demo release; however, it caught the attention of Rice Control Records, resulting in the intended demo material being released as a split album with Amalgamation. Most of the band's music was released as splits with other artists, including other notable screamo acts such as Usurp Synapse. West Haven is a city in New Haven County, Connecticut, United States, located on the coast of Long Island Sound. The Gray In Between is the fourth album by the American emo band Jeromes Dream. It was released in 2023 by Iodine Recordings. Reception ''The Gray In Between'' received positive reviews from critics. Brendan Schroer of ''Sputnikmusic'' gave the album a perfect score out of five stars, stating that the album "shows the band in peak form, retaining their signature extremity while expanding their sound past its usual borders". Bloodlet are an American metalcore band from Orlando, Florida that formed in 1992. Their style of music (which has sometimes been dubbed as "evilcore" by critics) features elements of metalcore and sludge metal, which has been noted for influencing the 1990s underground hardcore scene. History Bloodlet began by releasing a demo tape and a few 7-inches during the early portion of their career, including an EP on Canadian band Chokehold's record label Structure Records. Don Caballero (often shortened by members as 'Don Cab') was an American math rock band from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Although the band has had numerous lineup changes with co-founder Damon Che (drums and percussion) being the only constant member, the band's classic lineup consisted of Che, Ian Williams (guitar), Pat Morris (bass guitar), and Mike Banfield (guitar). Formed in 1991 as a trio, the band released two singles in 1992. Williams joined the band the same year during the production of their debut album '' For Respect'' which was released in 1993 to positive reviews. Loma Prieta (translates to "Dark Hill") is an American hardcore punk band that formed in 2005. The group is based in San Francisco, California and derived their name from the 1989 Loma Prieta earthquake. Most of the group's early material was released on their own record label named Discos Huelga. Loma Prieta has toured the US, Mexico, Canada, Europe and Japan. They share members with Punch. Their often dark and emotionally charged music blends a range of styles, most prominently screamo and powerviolence. Kurt Ballou (born February 1, 1974) is an American musician and record producer based in Massachusetts, best known as the guitarist for metalcore band Converge and for his recording and production work at his own GodCity Studio. Early and personal life Kurt Ballou started playing saxophone in elementary school. He performed in jazz band, concert band and orchestra, dabbling between baritone saxophone, bassoon and bass clarinet. Ballou was accepted to join the Hartford School of Music, but he opted to study aerospace engineering instead.
