Harry Jack Revier (16 March 1890 – 13 August 1957) was an independent American director, producer and first generation exploitation film maker best known for his sound films ''The Lost City (1935 serial), The Lost City'' (1935), ''Lash of the Penitentes'' (1936), and ''Child Bride'' (1938). Biography Harry Revier was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, in 1890. Some sources state that he gained early experience as a cinematographer in Europe, Italy, but his name is absent from passenger lists from that time. His earliest known screen credit is as the director of the Victor Film Company’s ''The Imp Abroad'' (1914), starring James W. Horne. Although Revier worked in the film industry for about 40 years, he only occasionally worked for any of the major studios. Harold Austin (actor)
Sir Harold Bruce Gardiner Austin (15 July 1877 – 27 July 1943) was a Barbadian politician and cricketer. He was known as H.B.G.. Austin was the son of John Gardiner Austin, a shipper connected with the sugar trade, and his wife Dorothy and was educated at Harrison College (Barbados), Harrison College, Barbados. He married Lillian Marie Dennehy in St. Lucia in 1904 and had two daughters. Austin was awarded the OBE in 1927, was Knight Bachelor, knighted in 1935. He lost his seat to Charles Duncan O'Neal in 1932 by one vote. Austin was List of speakers of the House of Assembly of Barbados, Speaker of the House of Assembly of Barbados 1934-1937, 1938-1942. Ruth Clifford
Ruth Clifford (February 17, 1900 – November 30, 1998) was an American actress of leading roles in silent films whose career lasted from that era into the television era. Early years Clifford was born in Pawtucket, Rhode Island, the daughter of parents who were both born in England. Following her mother's death when Ruth was 11, she and her sister were placed in St. Mary's Seminary in Narragansett, Rhode Island. Four years later, they went to Los Angeles to live with their actress aunt. Film Clifford got work as an extra and began her career at 15 at Universal, in fairly substantial roles. She received her first film credit for her work in '' Behind the Lines'' (1916).
