The Teenagers (French Band)
The Teenagers were a French synth-pop musical trio formed in late 2005, originally as a joke. They achieved some degree of notoriety with the song "Homecoming", both for its catchy sound and for its explicit content. Their debut album '' Reality Check'' was released in the UK on 17 March 2008 and 18 March 2008 in the rest of Europe and the United States. On October 12 2020, the band announced that they were no longer active and had not been for some time, and posted a link to a farewell song titled "Do You Remember". Critical reception The ''NME'' praised the bands "self-aware, smart sentiments, played out against a backdrop of lush, danceable, huggable pop." They have been said to "sound like Kraftwerk doing the soundtrack to a porno film" Their music is a mix of an electropop sound, comical lyrics and potent melodies. Mandurah
Mandurah ( ) is a coastal city in the Australian state of Western Australia, situated approximately south of the state capital, Perth. It is the state's second most populous city, with a population of 90,306. Mandurah's central business district is located on the Mandurah Estuary, which is an outlet for the Peel Inlet and Harvey Estuary. "Happiness" is a song by the English duo Goldfrapp from their fourth studio album, ''Seventh Tree'' (2008). Written and produced by Alison Goldfrapp and Will Gregory, the song was released as the album's second single on 14 April 2008. It was featured in advertisements for the newly rebranded SyFy network. It reached number 25 on the UK Singles Chart and remains their last top 40 hit. In Scotland, the single peaked at number 6. Composition and lyrics "Happiness" was described as a "'Penny Lane'-as-performed-by-Munchkins pop number" and "Beatlesque" and is in swing time. Chromeo is a Canadian electro-funk duo from Montreal, formed in 2002 by musicians David "Dave 1" Macklovitch and Patrick "P-Thugg" Gemayel. NYPC (also known as New Young Pony Club) are an English electronic music band from London. The band was formed by Andy Spence and Tahita Bulmer in 2004. Their influences are predominantly post-punk and new wave artists.
