The Sherlocks
The Sherlocks are an indie rock band from South Yorkshire. The band consists of brothers, Kiaran & Brandon Crook along with Alex Procter & Trent Jackson. History Early career The band played at Reading and Leeds Festivals in August 2015. The single 'Heart of Gold' received airplay from BBC Radio 1's Annie Mac, Huw Stephens, Greg James and BBC 6 Music’s Steve Lamacq. The fourth single, "Last Night", was released in February 2016, with the band being invited by BBC Introducing to play the SXSW festival in March 2016 in Austin, Texas. The band also played in Manchester as part of Dot to Dot festival in May 2016, followed by once more playing at the Leeds and Reading Festivals 2016. In 2016, they supported The Libertines as part of their Arena Tour. The Sherlocks released their fifth single, "Will You Be There?", on 15 September 2016. Bolton Upon Dearne
Bolton upon Dearne is a village in South Yorkshire, England, in the part of the Dearne Valley through which the River Dearne passes. Historically part of the West Riding of Yorkshire, it is approximately east of Barnsley, west of Doncaster and north of Rotherham. History Bolton upon Dearne was an ancient parish. It was recorded in the ''Domesday Book'' as part of the Manor of Bolton-upon-Dearne with Goldthorpe which was owned by Roger de Busli. In the early 18th century Barnsley attorney William Henry Marsden Esquire of Burntwood Hall bought the Manor of Bolton on Dearne with Goldthorpe with over 1,000 acres (4 km2) of land for £10,000. The Official Charts (legal name: The Official UK Charts Company Limited) is a British inter-professional organization that compiles various "official" record charts in the United Kingdom, Ireland and France. The Kooks
The Kooks () are an English pop-rock band formed in 2004 in Brighton. The band consists of Luke Pritchard (vocals/rhythm guitar), Hugh Harris (lead guitar/synthesizer/bass) and Alexis Nunez (drums). Their music is primarily influenced by the 1960s British Invasion movement and post-punk revival of the new millennium. The Kooks have experimented in several genres including rock, Britpop, pop, reggae, ska, and more recently, funk and hip-hop, being described once as a "more energetic Thrills or a looser Sam Roberts Band, maybe even a less severe Arctic Monkeys at times". Castlefield Bowl
The Castlefield Bowl (originally the Castlefield Events Arena and formerly the Castlefield Arena) is an outdoor events pavilion in the inner city conservation area of Castlefield in Manchester in North West England. The arena is often used for food festivals and music events. The arena has played host to New Order, The Last Shadow Puppets, Bloc Party, The Strypes, Catfish and the Bottlemen, Noel Gallagher and The Courteeners. The Stone Roses frontman Ian Brown headlined New Years' Eve 1999, the first show at the pavilion. The Libertines
The Libertines are an English rock band, formed in London in 1997 by frontmen Carl Barât (vocals/guitar) and Pete Doherty (vocals/guitar). The band, centred on the songwriting partnership of Barât and Doherty, has also included John Hassall (musician), John Hassall (bass), and Gary Powell (musician), Gary Powell (drums) for most of its recording career. SXSW
South by Southwest, abbreviated as SXSW and colloquially referred to as South By, is an annual conglomeration of parallel film, interactive media, and music festivals and conferences organized jointly that take place in mid-March in Austin, Texas, United States.
