Kaiser Chiefs
Kaiser Chiefs are an English indie rock band from Leeds who originally formed in 1996 as Runston Parva, before reforming as Parva in 2000, and releasing one studio album, ''22'', in 2003, before renaming and establishing themselves in their current name that same year. Since their formation, the band has consisted of lead vocalist Ricky Wilson (singer), Ricky Wilson, guitarist Andrew White (musician), Andrew "Whitey" White, bassist Simon Rix, keyboardist Nick "Peanut" Baines and since 2013 drummer Vijay Mistry, who replaced founding drummer Nick Hodgson following his departure from the band in late 2012. Ricky Wilson (singer)
Charles Richard Wilson (born 17 January 1978) is an English musician and the frontman of five-piece rock band Kaiser Chiefs. Before the formation of the band, in 2003, Wilson was a member of the band Runston Parva (later known as Parva), which consisted of members of Kaiser Chiefs. In September 2013, Wilson was confirmed as a coach on ''The Voice UK''. He was the winning coach for both the fourth and fifth series of the show, being the first coach to win two years consecutively. Wilson left the show after three series, following the show's move to ITV (TV network), ITV. Early life Wilson was born in Keighley, West Yorkshire to Glynne and TV producer, Geoff Wilson. He has one brother, James. Yours Truly, Angry Mob
''Yours Truly, Angry Mob'' is the second studio album by English rock band Kaiser Chiefs. It was released on 23 February 2007 in Belgium and the Netherlands, 26 February 2007 in the rest of the world by B-Unique Records and in March in North America by Universal Motown. Produced by Stephen Street, who produced the band's debut album ''Employment'', ''Yours Truly, Angry Mob'' is lyrically darker and more socially aware than its predecessor, with tracks dealing with street crime, violence, fame, and the inaccuracy of tabloid articles. The song "Boxing Champ" features drummer Nick Hodgson on lead vocals. Album information The band revealed to ''NME'' in October 2006 that they had recorded 22 songs and hoped to whittle that number down to 13 or 14 for the final album. ''Employment'' is the debut studio album by English indie rock band Kaiser Chiefs, released in March 2005 on B-Unique Records. ''Employment'' takes its inspirations from the Britpop and New wave music, new wave movements, 1970s-era punk rock and Beach Boys-esque West Coast music. The album originally charted at number three in the UK Albums Chart on 13 March 2005, but charted at number two almost a year after its release, due to the band's success at the Brit Awards. ''Employment'' went on to become the fourth best-selling album in the United Kingdom that year. Background It was Kaiser Chiefs themselves that chose to work with producer Stephen Street. Jaguar XE
The Jaguar XE (X760) is a front engine, rear- or all-wheel drive four-door compact-executive saloon manufactured by Jaguar Land Rover and marketed under their Jaguar marque for model years 2016–2024 — across a single generation. The successor to the X-Type, it was designed by Ian Callum and launched at the October 2014 Paris Motor Show. Production of the XE ceased in mid-2024. The Future Is Medieval
''The Future Is Medieval'' is the fourth studio album released by English rock band Kaiser Chiefs. The album was made available through the band's official website on 3 June 2011, before being released in shops on 27 June. It is the final album to feature original drummer Nick Hodgson before his departure from the band in December 2012. The album was later re-issued in North America, under the new title ''Start the Revolution Without Me''. This version of the album was released on 6 March 2012, and includes the brand new track "On the Run", plus tracks previously only available on the digital version of the album. ''Off with Their Heads'' is the third studio album by English rock band Kaiser Chiefs, and was released on 20 October 2008 in the UK, and on 25 August 2009 in the United States. The first single from the album was " Never Miss a Beat", released two weeks before the album. The album charted at number two on the UK Albums Chart during the week of 26 October 2008 and at number 16 in the Irish Albums Chart of the week of 24 October. New Wave Music
New wave is a music genre that encompasses pop music, pop-oriented styles from the 1970s through the 1980s. It is considered a lighter and more melodic "broadening of Punk subculture, punk culture". It was originally used as a catch-all for the various styles of music that emerged after punk rock. Later, critical consensus favored "new wave" as an umbrella term involving many contemporary popular music styles, including synth-pop, alternative dance and post-punk. ''Seven Ages of Rock'' (also known as ''7 Ages of Rock'') is a BBC Two series, co-produced by BBC Worldwide and VH1 Classic in 2007 about the history of rock music.
