The Rumjacks
The Rumjacks are a celtic punk band originally formed in Sydney, Australia in 2008. Known for their loud and energetic live shows, the band has released five studio albums, two live albums, and a series of EPs and singles. In 2016, the Rumjacks relocated to various parts of Europe, where they currently live and tour. One of the band's best-known songs, "An Irish Pub Song", became a viral hit and has earned over 85 million views on YouTube. Pirate metal is a style of heavy metal music characterized by its incorporation of Piracy, pirate mythology within the music and sometimes in stage performances. Lyrics often use piratical jargon and various musical genres, such as thrash metal, speed metal, and folk metal, may be combined with traditional-sounding songs like sea shanty, sea shanties. Jarocin Festival
Jarocin Festival was one of the biggest and most important rock music festivals in 1980s Europe, by far the biggest festival of alternative music in the Warsaw Pact countries. Founded in 1980, the festival was based on the earlier ''Wielkopolskie Rytmy Młodych'' (Greater Poland’s Rhythms of the Youth), which had been organised in Jarocin since 1971. In 1980, due to Walter Chelstowski’s initiative, its name was changed to ''Ogólnopolski Przegląd Muzyki Młodej Generacji w Jarocinie'' (All-Polish Review of Music of Young Generation in Jarocin) and subsequently, musicians and bands from the whole country were invited.
