The Music Factory
The Music Factory (TMF) was originally a Dutch brand of television and radio channels, which focused on pop music. It was similar to the American MTV which took over TMF in 2002. TMF operated channels in the Netherlands (TMF Nederland) as well as in the UK with TMF UK and Australia with ( TMF Australia). The brand is owned by MTV Networks International (part of the Viacom conglomerate). It shows only pop videos and locally produced live programming in Belgium. Likewise, with TMF Netherlands before its closure, the British TMF aired some of MTV's and VH1's programmes like '' Cribs'', '' Newlyweds: Nick and Jessica'', '' Hogan Knows Best'' and '' Run's House''. The channel operated until 26 October 2009 in the UK and Ireland, 1 September 2011 in the Netherlands and 1 November 2015 in Belgium. Bussum
Bussum () is a commuter town and former municipality in the Gooi region in the south east of the province of North Holland in the Netherlands near Hilversum. Since 2016, Bussum has been part of the new municipality of Gooise Meren. Bussum had a population of 33,595 in 2019 and covered an area of . Internet Protocol television (IPTV), also called TV over broadband, is the service delivery of television over Internet Protocol (IP) networks. Digital Cable
Digital cable is the distribution of cable television using digital data and video compression. The technology was first developed by General Instrument. By 2000, most cable companies offered digital features, eventually replacing their previous analog-based cable by the mid 2010s. During the late 2000s, broadcast television converted to the digital HDTV standard, which was incompatible with existing analog cable systems. HitRadio Veronica (Sky Radio)
HitRadio Veronica is a Dutch radio station that broadcasts over the internet. On December 27, 2006, at 12:00pm TMF Radio was officially launched. TMF Radio until October 1, 2008, had a partnership between Sky Radio Group (Sienna Holding BV) and MTV Networks Benelux ( TMF) and transmitted mostly hits from the cable frequency of Hitradio BV, which was acquired permanently in the spring of 2007 by Sky Radio Group and MTV Networks BV. MTV Networks has split on October 1, 2008, from TMF Radio and since then Sky Radio Group is the sole owner of the station, which now bears the name HitRadio Veronica. TMF Pure
TMF Pure was a digital TV channel of MTV Networks Benelux. The channel launched together with three other digital channels of MTV Networks on 1 May 2005. This channel, TMF NL and TMF Dance were among the first digital theme channels in the Netherlands. On 1 August 2006 TMF Pure was renamed MTV Brand New. This digital channel emits, unlike TMF Pure, non-stop video clips from the alternative rock genre. Besides videos, there are also live performances on MTV Brand New. Since 1 August 2007 the station went on air again, along with two new thematic channels: Nick Hits and Nicktoons. TMF Pure sent nonstop music videos from the genres R&B, rap and hip-hop and came back because The Box (which is focused on the same genre) ceased. TMF NL was a digital music television channel of MTV Networks Benelux that broadcast on all major digital platforms in the Netherlands and Belgium from 2005 to 2011. The station was presented along with three other digital channels of MTV Networks, namely TMF Pure, TMF Party and Nick Jr., and started on 1 May 2005. The channel only played videos by Dutch artists and was a spin-off of successful Dutch music channel TMF.
