The Hooligan Factory
''The Hooligan Factory'' is a 2014 football hooliganism spoof film directed, co-written and starring Nick Nevern. The film heavily parodies titles from the British hooligan genre films and focuses mainly on ''The Firm'', along with '' The Football Factory'', ''Rise of the Footsoldier'', '' I.D.'', '' Green Street'' and ''Cass''. Production The film features numerous cameo appearances from actors who have been type cast in the Hooligan genre films. Leo Gregory has a minor role while there were cameos from Danny Dyer, Tamer Hassan, Craig Fairbrass and Tony Denham, who feature in one scene each, while there was also a cameo from former hooligan and inspiration behind the film ''Cass'', Cass Pennant. Former West Ham United footballer Julian Dicks, ''The Only Way Is Essex'' personality Chloe Sims and Hollyoaks actor Charlie Clapham also make minor appearances. Nick Nevern (born 8 December 1980) is a British actor, screenwriter and director. He is best known for his roles in Eastenders first as Rennie, then as Don , Shameless as Rogowski,and The Hooligan Factory as Dex. Early life Nevern was born and raised in London, England. His mother is Russian. Career Nevern spent some time in Russia, returning years later to London where he started his acting career, with a first television performance in ''Dream Team'' as Pavel Kovac and since appearing in several other shows such as ''EastEnders'', '' Jonathan Creek'', '' Shameless'' and '' Motherland''. Nevern played the main character in the 2012 independent film '' The Rise and Fall of a White Collar Hooligan'' and two of the film's sequels. ''The Only Way Is Essex'' (often abbreviated as ''TOWIE'' ) is a British reality television series based in Brentwood, Essex, England. Julian Andrew Dicks (born 8 August 1968) is an English football coach and former footballer who is assistant manager of EFL Championship side Watford.
