''The Fratellis EP'' is the debut EP by Scottish band The Fratellis, released on 3 April 2006. There are a limited number of physical copies of this available in the UK. "Creepin' Up the Backstairs" was ineligible for the UK charts because the EP was limited in numbers and contained stickies. The Fratellis
The Fratellis ( ) are a Scottish rock band from Glasgow, formed in 2005. The band consists of three unrelated members, who perform under pseudonyms: lead vocalist and guitarist Jon Fratelli, bassist Barry Fratelli, and drummer Mince Fratelli. Their debut album, '' Costello Music'' (2006) peaked at number two on the UK Albums Chart and spent eighty-three weeks in the UK Top 100. In the United States, it peaked at forty-eight on the US ''Billboard'' 200. The Fratellis won the 2007 BRIT Award for Best British Breakthrough Act, and as of March 2018, ''Costello Music'' had sold 1,145,000 copies in the UK. ''Costello Music'' spawned five singles – " Henrietta", " Chelsea Dagger", " Whistle for the Choir", " Baby Fratelli" and " Ole Black 'n' Blue Eyes". Indie rock is a Music subgenre, subgenre of rock music that originated in the United Kingdom, United States and New Zealand in the early to mid-1980s. Owen Morris
Owen Morris (born in Caernarfon, Wales) is a Welsh record producer who has worked with rock bands including Oasis, the Fratellis, Ash, the View, Loso and the Verve. Biography Morris started working in the music industry as a sound engineer at Spaceward Studio in Cambridge, England when he was 16. He continued as an engineer until 1994, when he mixed and mastered Oasis's debut album ''Definitely Maybe''. He continued working with Oasis for their subsequent two albums ''(What's the Story) Morning Glory?'' (1995) and '' Be Here Now'' (1997). Morris appears on the cover of ''(What's the Story) Morning Glory?'' holding the album's master tape. He went on to produce the Verve album ''A Northern Soul'' (1995), Pusherman's "Floored" (1996), Ash's ''1977'' (1996) and the debut UK album, ''For God's Sake'' for Thai rock star Sek Loso. Andy Miller (record Producer)
Andy Miller is a Scottish record producer based in Hamilton, Lanarkshire, Scotland. Miller is noted for his production on albums by Mogwai, Life Without Buildings, Arab Strap, The Delgados, Scout Niblett, Songs: Ohia, Sons And Daughters, De Rosa and Desert Hearts. He is freelance, he now works at Gargleblast Studio in Hamilton, but has mainly worked at Chem19 studios over the last ten years. Having recorded many early tracks by seminal Scottish post-rock band Mogwai in the mid-1990s, he has now recorded their album '' The Hawk Is Howling'', which was released in September 2008. In 2003, Miller co-founded the Lanarkshire-based independent record label, Gargleblast Records. Founded by Miller and friend Shaun Tallamy in May that year, the aim of the label was to support, develop and release music by some of the bands Miller had recorded at Chem Nineteen Studios. ''Costello Music'' is the debut album by Scottish indie rock band the Fratellis. It was released on 11 September 2006 on Fallout Records and Drop the Gun Recordings and on 13 March 2007 on Cherrytree Records in the US and was a success, peaking at number 2 on the UK Albums Chart and spent 83 weeks in the Top 100. It debuted behind ''FutureSex/LoveSounds'' by Justin Timberlake and stayed in the No. 2 position for two more weeks, this time behind '' Ta-Dah'' by Scissor Sisters. The album had five single releases, as well as the download-only EP '' Flathead''.
