The Fratellis
The Fratellis ( ) are a Scottish rock band from Glasgow, formed in 2005. The band consists of three unrelated members, who perform under pseudonyms: lead vocalist and guitarist Jon Fratelli, bassist Barry Fratelli, and drummer Mince Fratelli. Their debut album, '' Costello Music'' (2006) peaked at number two on the UK Albums Chart and spent eighty-three weeks in the UK Top 100. In the United States, it peaked at forty-eight on the US ''Billboard'' 200. The Fratellis won the 2007 BRIT Award for Best British Breakthrough Act, and as of March 2018, ''Costello Music'' had sold 1,145,000 copies in the UK. ''Costello Music'' spawned five singles – " Henrietta", " Chelsea Dagger", " Whistle for the Choir", " Baby Fratelli" and " Ole Black 'n' Blue Eyes". ''Costello Music'' is the debut album by Scottish indie rock band the Fratellis. It was released on 11 September 2006 on Fallout Records and Drop the Gun Recordings and on 13 March 2007 on Cherrytree Records in the US and was a success, peaking at number 2 on the UK Albums Chart and spent 83 weeks in the Top 100. It debuted behind ''FutureSex/LoveSounds'' by Justin Timberlake and stayed in the No. 2 position for two more weeks, this time behind '' Ta-Dah'' by Scissor Sisters. "Creepin' Up the Backstairs" was ineligible for the UK charts because the EP was limited in numbers and contained stickies. ''Eyes Wide, Tongue Tied'' is the fourth album by the Scottish rock band The Fratellis. The album was announced on 1 June 2015 with the first track, "Me and the Devil" (which was given away for free from the band's website), and released on 21 August 2015. The album was written and recorded in Los Angeles during November 2014 with Tony Hoffer, who also produced the band's first album ''Costello Music'' and Jon Fratelli's solo album '' Psycho Jukebox''. Recording After the release of ''The Soul Crush EP'' in September 2014, and the band's first shows in Russia, it was announced that they would go to Los Angeles to record the follow-up to ''We Need Medicine''. "Baby Fratelli" is a song by Scottish rock band the Fratellis, released as the fifth single from their debut album, ''Costello Music'' (2006). It was released on 12 March 2007, in CD, 7-inch vinyl, and DVD single formats. A limited edition USB stick was later released, containing a weblink to an exclusive documentary as well as a competition to see the Fratellis in New York City on 23 March 2007. 7,000 copies of the USB stick format were sold, although this format isn't chart-eligible. The song was written by the band's lead singer, John Lawler. ''Time'' magazine named "Baby Fratelli" one of "The 10 Best Songs of 2007", ranking it at number 10. "Whistle for the Choir" is a song by Scottish rock band the Fratellis. It was released on 27 November 2006 as the band's third single and reached number nine on the UK Singles Chart, marking their second UK top-10 single. In the band's native Scotland, the song reached number two, becoming their second song to reach that position after " Chelsea Dagger". The working title for the song was "Knickers in a Handbag", named after a line from Scottish comedian Billy Connolly. The artwork points toward the old name by showing a girl on the cover handling a pair of knickers above a handbag. Mince - The Fratellis
MINCE is a text editor, originally created for 8080-based microcomputers running the CP/M operating system. Later versions of MINCE were available for GEMDOS on the Atari ST, VAX/VMS, RSX-11, and various flavors of Unix. Developed in BDS C by Mark of the Unicorn, it was bundled with computers from Kaypro and Morrow Designs, and the Epson QX-10. It was a subset of Emacs (MINCE stands for "MINCE Is Not Complete Emacs") designed to run within the 64kB memory limit of 8-bit computers. MINCE used a gap buffer to fit within 48kB, and implemented a very efficient virtual memory system to support multiple buffers and a maximum file size limited only by available disk space.
