The Dixie Fryer
''The Dixie Fryer'' is a 1960 Warner Bros. ''Looney Tunes'' cartoon short directed by Robert McKimson. The cartoon was released on September 24, 1960, and features Foghorn Leghorn. The cartoon is also the second and final cartoon to feature the buzzards (who are referred to as chicken hawks in this short), "Pappy" and "Elvis," the first being the Bugs Bunny cartoon, " Backwoods Bunny," released a year earlier. Plot Foghorn Leghorn is seen flying south for the winter, though he is not actually flying himself but hitching a ride on a basket that is being pulled by a flock of ducks. He then smells magnolia trees and figures that he is in the south, and hops out of the basket using an umbrella as a parachute, while also managing to bring a suitcase that contains a lounging chair and a mint julep. Robert McKimson
Robert Porter McKimson Sr. (October 13, 1910 – September 29, 1977) was an American animator and illustrator, best known for his work on the ''Looney Tunes'' and ''Merrie Melodies'' series of cartoons from Warner Bros. Cartoons and later DePatie–Freleng Enterprises. He wrote and directed many animated cartoon shorts starring Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Porky Pig, Foghorn Leghorn, Hippety Hopper, and The Tasmanian Devil (Looney Tunes), Tasmanian Devil, among other characters. He was also well known for defining Bugs Bunny's look in the development of Bugs Bunny, 1943 short ''Tortoise Wins by a Hare''. ''Strangled Eggs'' is a Warner Bros. ''Merrie Melodies'' cartoon short directed by Robert McKimson. The cartoon was released on March 18, 1961, and features Foghorn Leghorn, Henery Hawk and Miss Prissy. The voices are performed by Mel Blanc. This was the only cartoon to star both Miss Prissy and Henery Hawk. Plot Short of food, Foghorn Leghorn tries to court with Miss Prissy in hopes of getting food for the winter. While trying to court her, there is a knock on the door. It is a baby basket containing Henery Hawk, posing as an orphan chick in his latest attempt to infiltrate the barnyard and obtain a chicken to eat. Foghorn believes that Henery Hawk is going to be trouble, but Miss Prissy decides she wants to adopt the pseudo-chick as her "son." The voices are performed by Mel Blanc. Plot Foghorn Leghorn takes pity on Miss Prissy, whom the other hens are ridiculing because of her inability to lay an egg. To give her confidence, Foghorn slips one of the other hen's eggs under Miss Prissy as she is sitting on her nest. This garners surprise and some admiration as the other hens realize the egg has hatched a rooster chick. The black-eyed pea or black-eyed bean is a legume grown around the world for its medium-sized, edible bean. Black Eye
A periorbital hematoma, commonly called a black eye or a shiner (associated with boxing or stick sports such as hockey), is bruising around the eye commonly due to an injury to the face rather than to the eye. The name refers to the dark-colored bruising which is the result of accumulated blood and fluid in the loose areolar tissue following a blow to the head.
