Robert McKimson
Robert Porter McKimson Sr. (October 13, 1910 – September 29, 1977) was an American animator and illustrator, best known for his work on the ''Looney Tunes'' and ''Merrie Melodies'' series of cartoons from Warner Bros. Cartoons and later DePatie–Freleng Enterprises. He wrote and directed many animated cartoon shorts starring Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Porky Pig, Foghorn Leghorn, Hippety Hopper, Speedy Gonzales, and the Tasmanian Devil, among other characters. He also developed Bugs Bunny's design in the 1943 short '' Tortoise Wins by a Hare''. Career After he was born in Denver, Colorado, on October 13, 1910, McKimson's family variously lived in Wray, Colorado, Los Angeles, and Canadian, Texas, before settling in Los Angeles in 1926. Speedy Gonzales is an animated cartoon character in the Warner Bros. ''Looney Tunes'' and ''Merrie Melodies'' series of cartoons. He is portrayed as "The Fastest Mouse in all Mexico" with his major traits being the ability to run extremely fast, being quick-witted and heroic, and speaking with an exaggerated Mexican accent. He usually wears a yellow '' sombrero'', white shirt and trousers (which was a common traditional outfit worn by men and boys of rural Mexican villages), and a red kerchief, similar to that of some traditional Mexican attires. There have been 46 theatrical shorts made either starring or featuring the character. Dick Lundy (animator)
Richard James Lundy (August 14, 1907 – April 7, 1990) was an American animator and film director who worked at several animation studios including Walt Disney Productions, MGM, Walter Lantz Productions, and Hanna-Barbera. Lundy was a pioneer of personality animation and is best remembered as one of the creators of Donald Duck. Throughout his career he worked as a primary animator on at least 60 films, both short and feature-length, and directed 51 shorts. Early life Lundy was born in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, to James and Minnie Lundy, their only child. Shortly after his birth the family moved to Detroit, where Lundy's father worked as an inspector for the Burroughs adding machine Company. Thomas McKimson
Thomas Jacob McKimson (March 5, 1907 – February 14, 1998) was an American animator and comic book artist, best known for his work at the Warner Bros. Cartoons studio. He was the older brother of animators Robert and Charles McKimson. Tom McKimson was born in Denver, Colorado, but relocated to Los Angeles with his family in the 1920s. He attended Otis Art Institute (now called Otis College of Art and Design) in the 1920s. He began his career in animation in 1929, when he joined the Walt Disney Studio, becoming an assistant to animator Norm Ferguson. He left Disney a year later to work briefly for Romer Grey, then joined Harman-Ising Studios around 1932. After Harman and Ising left Warner Bros. for MGM, McKimson became a member of Bob Clampett's animation unit, where he is credited as a layout artist and the original design for Tweety Bird. Canadian is a city in and the county seat of Hemphill County, Texas, United States. The population was 2,339 at the 2020 census, down from 2,649 in 2010.
