The Dakotas (TV Series)
''The Dakotas'' is an ABC/Warner Bros. Western television series starring Larry Ward and featuring Jack Elam, Chad Everett, and Michael Greene, broadcast during 1963. The short-lived program is considered a spin-off of Clint Walker's ''Cheyenne''. ''The Dakotas'' was cancelled one week after heavy viewer protest over an objectionable scene. Synopsis The series follows the efforts of U.S. Marshal Frank Ragan ( Larry Ward) and his three deputies, J. D. Diane Brewster
Diane Brewster (March 11, 1931 – November 12, 1991) was an American television actress most noted for playing three distinctively different roles in television series of the 1950s and 1960s: confidence trickster Samantha Crawford in the Western '' Maverick'' with James Garner; pretty young second-grade teacher Miss Canfield in ''Leave It to Beaver''; and doomed wife Helen Kimble in '' The Fugitive''. ''Cheyenne'' is an American Westerns on television, Western television series of 108 black-and-white episodes broadcast on American Broadcasting Company, ABC from 1955 to 1962. The show was the first hour-long Western, and was the first hour-long dramatic series of any kind, with continuing characters, to last more than one season. Kevin Hagen (April 3, 1928 – July 9, 2005) was an American actor best known for his role as Dr. Hiram Baker on NBC's TV series ''Little House on the Prairie.'' Andrew Duggan
Andrew Duggan (December 28, 1923 – May 15, 1988) was an American character actor. His work includes 185 screen credits between 1949 and 1987 for roles in both film and television, as well a number more on stage. Background Duggan was born in Franklin, Indiana, Franklin, Johnson County, Indiana. During World War II, he served in the United States Army 40th Special Services (entertainment), Special Services Company, led by actor Melvyn Douglas in the China Burma India Theater of World War II. Christopher Brown Robinson (November 5, 1938 – June 9, 2025) was an American actor, screenwriter, and film director, sometimes credited as Christopher Robinson. Career Robinson began his career as an actor in the 1950s. The Territory of Dakota was an organized incorporated territory of the United States that existed from March 2, 1861, until November 2, 1889, when the final extent of the reduced territory was split and admitted to the Union as the states of North and South Dakota.
