The Buszy
The Buszy, built in 2005, is a skatepark plaza in Milton Keynes, England. The skate area is covered almost entirely by the roof of the former Milton Keynes Central bus station. Its founders believe it to be the first purpose-built skatepark in the world. Pronounced "''Buzzy''" () by the locals, the bus station, including the plaza that sits underneath its roof, is grade two listed. History The early years The Buszy has always been a focal point of the skateboard scene in Milton Keynes, even before it became a designated area to skateboard. Long before the area was designated a skateboard plaza, Chris Ince and his family owned and ran the One Stop Café inside the bus station. Modern Architecture
Modern architecture, also called modernist architecture, or the modern movement, is an architectural movement and style that was prominent in the 20th century, between the earlier Art Deco and later postmodern movements. Hip Hop
Hip-hop or hip hop (originally disco rap) is a popular music genre that emerged in the early 1970s from the African-American community of New York City. Legal walls or open walls, are public spaces where graffiti is allowed by any member of Public, the public. Go Skateboarding Day (GSD) is an event created by Don Brown, formerly IASC Marketing Director and co-created with Per Welinder who wanted a day for the global skate community to all ride together and elevate the energy of skateboarding around the world. Paul Martin Rodriguez (born December 31, 1984), also known by his nickname P-Rod, is a Mexican American professional street skateboarder and actor. Rodriguez has won a total of eight medals at the X Games, four of them gold, with the most recent first-place victory occurring in Los Angeles, California in July 2012. Daewon Song (born February 19, 1975) () is an American professional skateboarder. He is the co-founder and co-owner of Almost Skateboards and Thank You Skateboards, and continues to skate for the latter company. Song was named the 2006 "Skater of the Year" by '' Thrasher'' magazine, an award that is widely considered to be one of the most significant honors in skateboarding. Early life Song, a Korean American, was born in Seoul, South Korea, and grew up in Gardena, California, following a year spent with his grandmother in Hawaii.
