Thanos Kalliris
Bang was a Greek male vocal duo, consisting of Paul Stevens (vocals, guitar) (according to ''Billboard'' "Top Pop Singles" and several other unofficial sources, his real name is Thanos Kalliris) and Billy Adams (Vassilis Dertilis) (keyboards). They had chart success with the single "You're the One", released on the RCA label. It entered the UK Singles Chart on 6 May 1989, reaching #74. It was in the chart for two weeks. The B-side of the 7" version was "Don't Burn Down the Bridge", with the 12" having an additional instrumental version. They represented Greece in the ESC 1987 and had minor success in Europe and Japan. Biography Bang was formed in 1987 consisting of members Thanos Kalliris, Vasilis Dertilis and Michalis Capoulas. Robert "Shep" Pettibone (born 10 July 1959) is an American record producer, remixer, songwriter and club DJ, one of the most prolific of the 1980s. Career Shep Pettibone surfaced after his work with Arthur Baker on Afrika Bambaataa & the Jazzy 5's "Jazzy Sensation" and as an in-house mix engineer for Prelude Records. During his recording career, he launched innovative "mastermixes" for New York's KISS FM. The popularity of these mixes persuaded Prelude Records to release some of them commercially. Pettibone built his brand through his personal approach to remixing tracks, specially crafted for the dancefloor. Acclaimed by DJs worldwide, he was the go-to man to achieve club and chart success. Maria-Anastasia "Marianna" Efstratiou (; born 17 April 1955 in Athens) is a Greek singer, connected on several occasions with the Eurovision Song Contest. In 1987 she appeared as a backing singer for the duo Bang. Efstratiou won the 1989 Greek national selection (overcoming prior entrant Anna Vissi) and represented Greece in the contest in Lausanne with " To diko sou asteri", which placed ninth.
