''Tether'' is the eighth studio album by American rock band Of Mice & Men. The album was released on October 6, 2023, through SharpTone Records and was self-produced by the band. Background and promotion On February 12, 2023, Of Mice & Men announced through social media that they have nearly wrapped up the material for their eighth studio album. On July 9, the band shared a video online, features behind the scenes footage from a recent video shoot, including a photo shoot. On July 17, they revealed the title to their eighth studio album. On the same day, the band confirmed that the first single titled "Warpaint" would be released on July 28. On July 28, the band revealed the album's release date. On August 23, the band released the second single "Castaway" along with an accompanying music video. Of Mice & Men (band)
Of Mice & Men (often abbreviated OM&M) is an American Rock music, rock band formed in Costa Mesa, California, in 2009. The band's line-up currently consists of drummer Valentino Arteaga, guitarists Phil Manansala and Alan Ashby, and bassist and lead vocalist Aaron Pauley. The group was founded by former lead vocalist Austin Carlile and former bassist Jaxin Hall in mid-2009 after Carlile's departure from Attack Attack! (American band), Attack Attack!. Carlile departed from the band in December 2016 citing that a long-term health condition prompted his exit. After Carlile's departure, the band continued to pursue creating music with Pauley as the band's bassist and lead vocalist. Outburn
''Outburn'' is a print magazine and online publication focusing on alternative rock, heavy metal, punk rock, indie rock, and other genres. It presents news on bands, music releases, and events, in-depth interviews, high-quality studio and live photography, and music reviews. From March 2018 to March 2021, the print magazine was on hiatus. In April 2021, Outburn resumed publication of the print magazine, beginning with issue #93. History ''Outburn'' was founded in the summer of 1996 by Rodney Kusano (rodent ek) and Octavia Laird. Aaron Pauley
Aaron Charles Pauley (born August 4, 1988) is an American musician, best known as the lead vocalist and bassist for the rock band Of Mice & Men and the lead vocalist for Jamie's Elsewhere. He was also formerly the lead vocalist for Razing Alexandria. Biography Pauley grew up in Vacaville together with his parents Randy and Kellie Pauley, and younger brother, Samuel. He developed an interest in music at an early age and began playing guitar at the age of eight, and began playing bass at age 11. Pauley joined his first band, Menace to Society, at the age of 13. He graduated from Vacaville High School in 2006. Two years later, he joined the Sacramento-based Jamie's Elsewhere as a vocalist and recorded two albums with them. He joined Of Mice & Men in 2012. Pauley currently lives in Huntington Beach with his wife Amanda Bouffard and his Boston Terrier, Daisy. Metalcore
Metalcore is a broadly defined fusion genre combining elements of extreme metal and hardcore punk, originating in the 1990s United States and becoming popular in the 2000s. Metalcore typically has aggressive verses and melodic choruses, combined with Breakdown (music), breakdowns – which are slow, intense passages conducive to moshing. Other defining traits are low-tuned, percussive guitar riffs, double bass drumming, and polished production.
