Terence Coughlan
Terence Daniel Coughlan (born 25 February 1956) is a former Zimbabwean cricketer. A right-handed batsman and right-arm leg break bowler, he played two first-class matches for Mashonaland Country Districts during the 1993–94 Logan Cup. Coughlan played four first-class matches for Zimbabwe-Rhodesia B in the 1979/80 Castle Bowl tournament and one match for Zimbabwe B against Pakistan B in 1990. He also played List A cricket for Zimbabwe and Zimbabwe Country Districts, as well as one match for Mashonaland Country Districts against Tasmania in 1995. Gwelo
Gweru is a city in central Zimbabwe. Near the geographical centre of the country. It is on the centre of Midlands Province. Originally an area known to the Ndebele as "The Steep Place" because of the Gweru River's high banks, in 1894 it became the site of a military outpost established by Leander Starr Jameson. In 1914 it attained municipal status, and in 1971 it became a city. The city has a population of 158,200 as of the 2022 census. Gweru is known for farming activities in beef cattle, crop farming, and commercial gardening of crops for the export market. It is also home to a number of colleges and universities, most prominently Midlands State University and Mkoba Teachers College. The city was nicknamed City of Progress. The 1993–94 Logan Cup was the first competing of the Logan Cup as a first-class cricket competition. It was held in Zimbabwe from 14 January – 20 March 1994. First-class cricket, along with List A cricket and Twenty20 cricket, is one of the highest-standard forms of cricket. A first-class match is one of three or more days' scheduled duration between two sides of eleven players each and is officially adjudged to be worthy of the status by virtue of the standard of the competing teams. Matches must allow for the teams to play two innings each, although in practice a team might play only one innings or none at all. Midlands is a province of Zimbabwe. It has an area of and a population of 1,614,941 (2012). It is home to various peoples.
