Ten Mile Junction Depot
Ten Mile Junction Depot is a depot for Light Rail Transit (LRT) trains serving the Bukit Panjang LRT in Singapore. It is integrated with the Junction 10 shopping mall and The Tennery condominium, with the depot facilities and Operations Control Centre located at the third level while the first and second levels are occupied by shops. It is the first depot in Singapore to be built in an existing building and also the first LRT depot to be built. The depot is located next to the former Ten Mile Junction LRT station. Trains entering the depot will take the first left turn instead of second left which Ten Mile Junction LRT Station uses, while the straight track is used for the maintenance area and will also allow single train cars to couple to form two car trains for two carriage operation. Junction 10
Junction 10, formerly Ten Mile Junction, is a shopping centre in Choa Chu Kang, Singapore located at the junction of Choa Chu Kang Road and Woodlands Road. Background The mall opened in 1998 as Ten Mile Junction (). It is owned by Far East Organization. It was accessible via the then-operational Ten Mile Junction LRT station, on the Bukit Panjang LRT line, which has been permanently closed since 13 January 2019. The platform was located on level 3 of the complex, which also houses the Ten Mile Junction Depot adjacent to the station. The Bombardier Innovia APM 100 C801 (APM 100, originally known as CX-100) is the first generation of an automated people mover (APM) train built by Adtranz (later acquired by Bombardier Transportation and subsequently by Alstom) for use on the Bukit Panjang LRT line, Bukit Panjang LRT (BPLRT), Singapore. The Bombardier Innovia APM 100 C801A (APM 100) is the second generation of an automated people mover (APM) train built by Bombardier Transportation (now Alstom) for the Bukit Panjang LRT line. These trains are mainly for airport connections and light rail in towns and it is operated by Automatic Train Control (ATC), making it fully automatic and driverless. The use of rubber tyres and ceramic tracks are extremely quiet compared to conventional rail. This additional batch of trains will increase the capacity of the Bukit Panjang LRT line by 50% by 2014. Bombardier Innovia APM 300R C801B
The Alstom Innovia APM 300R C801B (APM 300R) is the third generation of automated people mover (APM) trains built by a joint venture of Alstom (formerly Bombardier Transportation) and CRRC Nanjing Puzhen Company) for the Bukit Panjang LRT line (BPLRT), Singapore, to replace the existing C801 trains built in 1999. The C801B trains are also the first of their kind to use AC third rail shoes, in contrast with the newer light rail lines around the world that utilise the APM 300 system built with DC third rail. Ten Mile Junction LRT Station
Ten Mile Junction LRT station was an elevated Light Rail Transit (LRT) station on the Bukit Panjang LRT line in Choa Chu Kang, Singapore, that was in operation between 6 November 1999 and 13 January 2019. This LRT station was the only one that was air conditioned, inside a building ( Junction 10), had full height platform screen doors, faregates on the same level as the platform, and only one track.
