"Tell Me" is a 1998 song by British singer Billie Myers, released as the second single from her debut album, ''Growing, Pains''. It reached number 28 on the UK charts, which compared to her previous single was a commercial failure. Critical reception Larry Flick from ''Billboard'' wrote that the song "has a stompin' alterna-rock attack that allows Myers to flex her quivering, melodramatic vocal style to maximum effect." He added further that producer Desmond Child's "pop savvy is evident in a mix that counters the forceful guitar/drum execution with cushiony keyboards and a spree of fluttering sitar lines. Billie Myers
Billie Myers (born 14 June 1971) is a British rock singer and songwriter from Coventry, England. She is known principally for her 1997 transatlantic hit " Kiss the Rain". Biography Myers was born in Coventry to a Jamaican father and English mother. Before commencing her career in music, Myers was a nurse and insurance agent. She was discovered in a club by record producer Peter Harris. Soon after their first meeting, Myers began writing material for her debut album, '' Growing, Pains'' (1997). The album was produced by Desmond Child. The first single from the album, " Kiss the Rain", became a Top 20 hit. Myers was signed to a recording contract with Universal Records in 1997. Singles from ''Growing, Pains'' have appeared on television commercials and in the TV series, ''Dawson's Creek''. The Official Charts (legal name: The Official UK Charts Company Limited) is a British inter-professional organization that compiles various "official" record charts in the United Kingdom, Ireland and France. Victor Calderone (born March 20, 1967 in Brooklyn, New York, United States) is an American electronic music producer, DJ and remixer. Biography Raised in the Bensonhurst section of Brooklyn, Calderone was introduced into New York City's nightlife by his older brother, Cesar, who was very active in the club music business. Calderone began to dabble with turntables and other DJ-related equipment at the age of 15. A decade later, in 1991, music mogul Seymour Stein signed both Calderone and his partner Gene LaFosse (they collaborated on a short-lived techno act called Program 2) to a contract deal with Sire Records. Chorus Effect
Chorus (or chorusing, choruser or chorused effect) is an audio effect that occurs when individual sounds with approximately the same time, and very similar pitches, converge. While similar sounds coming from multiple sources can occur naturally, as in the case of a choir or string orchestra, it can also be simulated using an electronic effects unit or signal processing device. When the effect is produced successfully, none of the constituent sounds are perceived as being out of tune. It is characteristic of sounds with a rich, shimmering quality that would be absent if the sound came from a single source. The shimmer occurs because of beating.
