Billie Myers
Billie Myers (born 14 June 1971) is a British rock singer and songwriter from Coventry, England. She is known principally for her 1997 transatlantic hit " Kiss the Rain". Biography Myers received a Brit Award nomination in 1999 for Best British Female Solo Artist, alongside Billie Piper, but neither won. She has been outspoken about her bisexuality and how "not being gay enough" had caused her difficulties in the past. Myers has also spoken out publicly numerous times about living with depression. As well as being an ambassador for the Jed Foundation, Myers supports The Mindfull Initiative which aims to support young people dealing with mental health issues. WLVM (98.3 FM) is an American radio station licensed to serve the community of Chickasaw, Alabama, and broadcasting to the Mobile metropolitan area. The station is owned by the Educational Media Foundation. Programming WLVM began broadcasting a Christian Contemporary music format branded as "K-LOVE" on July 15, 2012. ''Chasing Amy'' is a 1997 American romantic comedy-drama film written and directed by Kevin Smith and starring Ben Affleck, Joey Lauren Adams and Jason Lee. The third film in Smith's View Askewniverse series, the film is about a male comic artist (Affleck) who falls in love with a lesbian (Adams), to the displeasure of his best friend (Lee). The film was inspired by a brief scene from an early film by a friend of Smith's. In Guinevere Turner's '' Go Fish'', one of the lesbian characters imagines her friends passing judgment on her for "selling out" by sleeping with a man. Smith was dating Adams at the time he was writing the script, which was also partly inspired by her. Thunderpuss is the (mainly dance) remix/ production team of Los Angeles–based music producers Barry Harris and Chris Cox. Harris had previously worked as part of several music groups including Kon Kan, Top Kat, Killer Bunnies and Outta Control and had also released several solo singles himself. Cox, a musician and DJ, had also worked for years as a DJ and producer, producing a megamix of Paula Abdul songs, among other things, and started his own record label, Interhit Records, with Jeff Johnson. History Harris and Cox originally met in New York City in 1990 while Harris was recording '' Syntonic'', Kon Kan's second album. They became friends and remained in contact for years, with Harris eventually joining Cox at Interhit Records in Los Angeles in January 1998.
