Teletigre
Teletigre, also known as TV-9 TeleBogotá, is Colombia's first private television channel, founded by journalist and politician Consuelo Salgar de Montejo, who won a state bid against Caracol TV, RTI Colombia, and Producciones Punch. It is now operating as a Digital Channel through Youtube and is owned by " La Casa Editorial el Bogotano." Its signal only reached Bogotá, Cundinamarca, Tolima, and part of Huila, and broadcast daily, from 17:30 to 22:30, on Channel 9, hence its alternative name. The channel partnered with U.S. network ABC (which owned 50% of the stocks) and relied on imported programming. Tele 9 Corazón
Tele 9 Corazón (Spanish-language, Spanish: "Tele 9 Heart") was a Colombian local state-run television channel, whose signal only reached Bogotá and was broadcast on television channel, Channel 9. It replaced privately owned Teletigre. The Colombian state gave time slots for programming on Tele 9 Corazón to companies RTI Colombia, RTI, Punch, Caracol TV, Protón, Alberto Dangond Uribe, Eduardo Ruiz Martínez, Jorge Barón, and Alberto Acosta, among others. In 1973, Tele 9 Corazón was replaced by Canal A, Segunda Cadena, which would become Colombia's second national television network. Consuelo Salgar de Montejo (30 September 1928 – 2 October 2002) Andrés Montejo Salgar, Fundación Patrimonio Fílmico Colombiano '' El Tiempo''Adiós a Consuelo de Montejo/ref> was a Colombian journalist, advertising executive, media entrepreneur, and politician. Salgar studied in England and the United States. She joined McCann Erickson and later established Publicidad Técnica, her own advertising agency. Canal A (previously known as ''Cadena Dos'') was a Colombian open television network launched on January 16, 1971, under the name ''Tele9 Corazón''. History TV9 Telebogotá (Teletigre), the first private television station in Colombia, began broadcasting on January 14, 1966. It was founded by Consuelo Salgar de Montejo, a journalist, politician, and businesswoman. It broadcast on channel 9 of the VHF band in Bogotá and could also be tuned in to the rest of Cundinamarca, Tolima and part of Huila. Due to its strong opposition to the corruption of the National Front, a coalition between the Conservative and Liberal parties that alternated power, the television channel was expropriated on January 2, 1971, and became administered by the State. ''Flipper'' is an American television program broadcast on NBC from September 19, 1964, until April 15, 1967. In Colombian broadcasting, ''programadoras'' (literally ''programmer'') are companies that produce television programs, especially for the public-commercial Canal Uno (and, until 2003, Canal A/Segunda Cadena). The Colombian television model from 1954 to the late 1990s, known as the ''sistema mixto'' ("mixed system"), relied on ''programadoras'' as the sole producers of programs that aired on the two major channels.
