Tehani Egodawela
Tehani Egodawela (born 19 April 1986), also known as M. G. T. U. E. Egodawela, or Udeshika Egodawela is a Sri Lankan sports shooter and a current national record holder in shooting. She competed at the postponed 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo. Naval career Having completed her secondary education at the Good Shepherd Convent, Colombo, she enlisted in the Sri Lanka Navy as a seaman recruit in 2011 and specialized in communicator trade. She was part of the Sri Lanka Navy Musketry Pool since 2011. By 2021, she held the rank of Leading Woman Communicator. Shooting career She was selected as the best shooter at national level for a record seven times, representing National Pool since 2012. In 2013, she was recognized as the best women's rifle shooter at the Sri Lankan Navy Open Shooting Championships. Good Shepherd Convent, Colombo
__NOTOC__ Good Shepherd Convent is a semi-government Catholic girls' school and the first Catholic convent in Sri Lanka. Shooting At The 2020 Summer Olympics – Qualification
This article details the qualifying phase for shooting at the 2020 Summer Olympics (which was postponed to at least 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic). 300 quota places for the Games are entitled to the shooters coming from their respective NOCs, based on the results at designated ISSF supervised Championships subjected to the ISSF rules from September 1, 2018, to June 6, 2021. Host nation Japan has been guaranteed twelve quota places with one in each of the individual events. Four quota places (top two teams per NOC) will be awarded to the shooters competing in each of the mixed team events (rifle, pistol, and trap), while the highest-ranked shooter, who has not qualified yet or whose NOC does not have a berth in any of the twelve individual events, will obtain a direct Olympic quota place through the World Rankings. The International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) is the governing body of the Olympic shooting events in rifle, pistol and shotgun ( clay target) disciplines, and of several non-Olympic shooting sport events. Milka Gehani Elpitiya Badalge Dona also known as Milka Gehani de Silva (born 24 April 2003) is a Sri Lankan artistic gymnast. She earned a continental quota spot to the 2020 Summer Olympics after the cancellation of the 2021 Asian Championships. She was the first Sri Lankan gymnast across all disciplines to compete in the Olympics. She also represented Sri Lanka at the 2018 Summer Youth Olympics and the 2019 and 2022 World Championships. Early life Milka Gehani was born in Colombo, Sri Lanka in 2003. She won her first junior national title at the age of eight. In 2019, she received an IOC-funded scholarship to train in Japan.
