Teemu Lassila
Teemu Lassila (born 26 March 1983) is a Finnish former professional ice hockey goaltender. He most recently played in the 2019–20 season of the Austrian Hockey League (EBEL) with the Czech team Orli Znojmo. He participated at the 2011 IIHF World Championship as a member of the Finland men's national ice hockey team. In ice hockey, the goaltender (commonly referred to as the goalie) is the player responsible for preventing the hockey puck from entering their team's net, thus preventing the opposing team from scoring. 2003 NHL Entry Draft
The 2003 NHL Entry Draft was the 41st NHL Entry Draft. It was held at the Gaylord Entertainment Center in Nashville, Tennessee on June 21 and 22, 2003. Goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury was selected first overall by the Pittsburgh Penguins. This was only the third time a goalie was selected first overall in the draft, after Michel Plasse in 1968 and Rick DiPietro in 2000. Eric Staal was selected second, by the Carolina Hurricanes, and Nathan Horton was the third selection, by the Florida Panthers.
