Team Goldie
Team Goldie is the solo project of Pennsylvania-based singer, rapper and multi-instrumentalist Matt DiStefano. Started as a strictly studio project in the Summer of 2004, DiStefano combines elements of hip-hop, punk and indie-rock into his own genre-bending style of pop music. It has been described as "a buffet of Daft Punk, Beastie Boys, Panic! at the Disco and N.E.R.D., studied under Atom and His Package and Girl Talk but from the brain of a Weezer fan." He began performing live in the Fall of 2004 and over the following years went on to open for the likes of Gym Class Heroes, MC Lars, Girl Talk, Plain White Ts, Ted Leo, Boys Like Girls and many more as well as perform at the Broadcast Music Incorporated (BMI) Showcase and Angels & Kings as a part of the CMJ Music Marathon. The Plain White T's are an American pop rock band from Lombard, Illinois, formed in 1997 by high school friends Tom Higgenson, Dave Tirio, and Ken Fletcher, and joined a short time later by Steve Mast. Bridge Nine is owned by Chris Wrenn of Salem, Massachusetts, who began the label in 1995 and produced its first release in 1996. In 2022, the label opened a record store. Polar Bear Club was an American post-hardcore band from Rochester and Syracuse in upstate New York. Formed in 2005, the band underwent multiple line-up changes, with vocalist Jimmy Stadt and lead guitarist Chris Browne as the only consistent members. The band released four studio albums and toured internationally before announcing an indefinite hiatus in 2015. Ra Ra Riot is an American indie rock band consisting of vocalist Wes Miles, bassist Mathieu Santos, guitarist Milo Bonacci, violinist Rebecca Zeller and drummer Kenny Bernard. CMJ Holdings Corp. is a music events, online media company and a distributor of up and coming music CDs, originally founded in 1978, which ran a website, hosted an annual festival in New York City, and published two magazines, ''CMJ New Music Monthly'' and ''CMJ New Music Report''. Angels & Kings was a nightclub in New York City, New York, located at 500 East 11th Street. The club was opened in 2007 by Bob McLynn and Jonathan Daniel of Crush Management, along with Pete Wentz of Fall Out Boy and several other musicians, including members of Gym Class Heroes, Cobra Starship, and The Academy Is.... Theodore Francis Leo (born September 11, 1970) is an American singer and musician. He is the frontman and lead guitarist of the rock group Ted Leo and the Pharmacists, and in 2013, he and Aimee Mann formed the indie rock duo The Both. Early life Born in South Bend, Indiana, Leo grew up in Bloomfield, New Jersey, where his family was from and spent many formative years in the hardcore punk scene of New York City during the 1980s and early 1990s. He graduated from Seton Hall Preparatory School in West Orange in 1988 and the University of Notre Dame in the fall of 1993 with a degree in English.
