Tauquir Ahmed
Tauquir Ahmed (born 5 March 1966) is a Bangladeshi architect and actor, turned director in both television and cinema. His films won many international and national awards including Bangladesh National Film Awards in the Best Director, Best Screenplay and Best Story categories for the films ''Joyjatra'' (2004) and ''Oggatonama'' (2016). Education Ahmed studied in Jhenidah Cadet College (JCC) for his SSC and HSC exam. In JCC he actively took part in inter-house drama competition. He then studied architecture in Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET). He completed film diploma from New York Film Academy in 2002. He had training in theatre direction from Royal Court Theatre, London (British Council Scholarship, 1995) and acting (Stage) from ITI training, University of Theatre of Nations, 1989. Bipasha Hayat
Bipasha Hayat (born 23 March 1971) is a Bangladeshi actress, model, painter and playback singer. She won Bangladesh National Film Award for Best Actress for her performance in the film ''Aguner Poroshmoni'' (1994). She earned Meril Prothom Alo Awards in 1998, 1999 and 2002. Early life and education Hayat completed her master's from the Faculty of Fine Arts, University of Dhaka in 1998. Career During the 90's Hayat played many popular television dramas. Abul Hayat
Abul Hayat (born 7 September 1944) is a Bangladeshi actor. He is also a writer, civil engineer and director. He earned Bangladesh National Film Award for Best Supporting Actor for the film Daruchini Dwip (2007) and was awarded Ekushey Padak for his acting in 2015 by the Government of Bangladesh. He portrayed the Misir Ali character in the television film, ''Onno Bhuboner Cheleta''. ''Chitra Nodir Pare'' (known in English as ''Quiet Flows the River Chitra'') is a Bangladeshi Bengali directed by Tanvir Mokammel. It is a feature film on destiny of a Hindu family in East Pakistan. The film won seven national awards including the best film and the best director of the year 1999. Tanvir Mokammel (born 8 March 1955) is a Bangladeshi filmmaker and writer. He is the recipient of Ekushey Padak in 2017. He won Bangladesh National Film Awards total ten times for the films ''Nodir Naam Modhumoti'' (1995), '' Chitra Nodir Pare'' (1999) and ''Lalsalu'' (2001). He is the current director of Bangladesh Film Institute in Dhaka. Early life and education Tanvir Mokammel grew up in Khulna. His father worked as a magistrate in Narail and his mother was a teacher in a local college. He completed his master's in English literature at the University of Dhaka. ''Nodir Naam Modhumoti'' (translated as ''The River Named Modhumoti'') is a 1996 Bangladeshi Bengali language film directed by Tanvir Mokammel. It won 20th Bangladesh National Film Awards for the Best Story, Best Dialogue and Best Male Playback Singer. Background The film was banned by the Censor Board in 1994 citing the reason "anti-nationalist". Mokammel appealed this ban to the Bangladesh Supreme Court, and then to the High Court.
