Suborna Mustafa
Suborna Mustafa (; born 2 December 1959) is a Bangladeshi television, film and stage actress. She is a former Jatiya Sangsad member representing the Reserved Women's Seat-4 from 2019 to 2024. She is a member of the Bangladesh Awami League party. Mustafa is notable for her roles in television drama serials including '' Kothao Keu Nei'' (1990), '' Aaj Robibar'' (1999) and '' Ayomoy'' (1991). She won Bangladesh National Film Award for Best Supporting Actress twice for her performance in the films ''Notun Bou'' (1983) and '' Gohin Baluchor'' (2017). She was awarded Ekushey Padak in culture category by the Government of Bangladesh in 2019. Ekushey Padak
Ekushey Padak () is the second highest civilian award in Bangladesh, introduced in memory of martyrs of the Bengali language movement of 1952. The award is given to recognize contributions in a number of fields, including culture, education, and economics. The Ministry of Cultural Affairs administers the award. The award consists of an 18-carat gold medal weighing 3 Tola (unit), tolas, a certificate of honour and a cash award. The medal was designed by the artist Nitun Kundu. The amount of the cash reward was originally ৳ 25,000, but it was increased to ৳ 100,000 in 2015, to ৳ 200,000 in 2017 and to ৳ 400,000 as of November 2019. Mamunur Rashid
Mamunur Rashid (born 29 February 1948) is a Bangladeshi actor, director and scriptwriter. He was awarded Ekushey Padak in 2012 and Bangla Academy Literary Award in 1982 by the Government of Bangladesh. Early life and education Rashid was born on 29 February 1948 in the village Bhabandatta in Ghatail Upazila of Tangail District. He is the eldest of five siblings. He completed his SSC from Bolla Coronation High School and a Diploma in Civil Engineering from Dhaka Polytechnic Institute. After Diploma, he passed BA and MA in Political Science from Dhaka University. Career Rashid moved to Dhaka in 1963. Rashid started writing drama plays in the 1960s. He founded Aranyak in 1972. Afzal Hossain
Afzal Hossain (born 19 July 1954) is a Bangladeshi actor, director, writer and painter. He was awarded the Ekushey Padak, the second most important award for civilians in Bangladesh, in 2022. Early life Hossain was born in Parulia, Satkhira in erstwhile East Bengal. His father, Ali Ashraf Hossain, was a medical officer. He has a brother, Alfaz Hossain and a sister, Rumana Afroz. Zahir Raihan
Mohammad Zahirullah (19 August 1935 – disappeared 30 January 1972), known as Zahir Raihan, was a Bangladeshi novelist, writer and filmmaker. He is most notable for his documentary '' Stop Genocide'' (1971), made during the Bangladesh Liberation War.
