Tasnim Mir
Tasnim Mir (born 13 May 2005) is an Indian badminton player. She is a former BWF World Junior Number 1. Early life Mir was born in Mehsana, where her father Irfan Ali Mir worked in the police department. He was also a badminton coach, and introduced Mir to the sport when she was seven or eight years old. When twelve, she stopped attending daily classes in school to focus on badminton training. Career 2018 Mir won the U-15 singles and doubles titles at national sub-junior tournaments in Hyderabad and Nagpur in January and July 2018 respectively. In October of that year, she again won an U15 title and then the U17 title as well. The following year, she broke through the domestic junior ranks by winning the national U-19 girls' title while still 14 years of age. Mehsana
Mehsana (), also spelled Mahesana, is a city and municipality in Mehsana district, in the Indian state of Gujarat. Established in 14th century, the city was under Gaekwads of Baroda State from 18th century to the independence of India in 1947. The municipality was established in 1919–20. The town has population of about 185,000. Dairy, oil and natural gas are major industries while there are several small and medium enterprises in the city. Pullela Gopichand Badminton Academy (PGBA) is a badminton training facility in Hyderabad, Telangana, India. Founded in 2008 by the 2001 All England Open Badminton Champion, Pullela Gopichand, the facility trains several badminton players such as Saina Nehwal, P. V. Sindhu, Srikanth Kidambi, Parupalli Kashyap, H.S. Prannoy, Sai Praneeth, Sameer Verma and many others. History By the time he won the All England Open Badminton Championships in 2001, Pullela Gopichand was already 27 years old and was struggling with a few injuries. With not many playing years left, Gopichand decided to bring a world-class training facility for the next generation. With that intention, Gopichand decided to form a badminton academy. Shweta, known by her stage name Rakshita, is an Indian television personality, film producer and former actress known for her work in Kannada cinema. Early life Rakshita was brought up in Bangalore. Happy Lo Sin Yan (; born Cheng Sin Yan, 25 February 2003) is a badminton player from Hong Kong. She competed at the 2024 Paris Olympics. Unnati Hooda (born 20 September 2007) is an Indian badminton player. In 2022, she won the women's singles event at the Odisha Masters. She was also part of India's 2022 Uber Cup team. Career 2021–22 In 2021, Unnati Hooda's first tournament played was the India International Challenge where she lost to Anupama Upadhyaya in the finals. In January 2022, Unnati played in the 2022 Odisha Open where she won the tournament beating Smit Toshniwal in the finals, winning her first ever BWF World Tour tournament. Ashmita Chaliha
Ashmita Chaliha (born 18 October 1999) is an Indian badminton player. Born and brought up in Guwahati, she began playing badminton at the age of seven, and trained at the Assam Badminton Academy under Indonesian coach Edwin Iriawan and India’s Suranjan Bhobora, she was also coached by Pullela Gopichand for the asian games. Chaliha was part of the national junior team that competed at the 2017 World and Asian Junior Championships. She has been selected to be part of the Indian team for the 2018 Asian Games in Indonesia. Chaliha won her first senior international title at the 2018 Dubai International Challenge in the women's singles event. Maldives International
The Maldives International is an open international badminton tournament in Maldives organized by the Badminton Association of Maldives and sanctioned by the Badminton Asia Confederation and Badminton World Federation. This tournament has been an International Challenge level before it went into hiatus in 2014. This tournament held at the Malé sports complex, and offered world ranking points with total prize money US$15,000. In 2010, India won two titles from the men's and women's singles event.
